more NEW trophies in super smash bros melee

- Nintendo has updated its Super Smash Bros. Melee website to reveal that there are a total of 293 trophies available beyond the originally proclaimed 291 (Japan version). Not surprisingly, and very much speculated by many, you will be able to unlock a new Mario and Samus trophy in the future.

The Mario trophy, a yellow caped Mario riding on the back of Yoshi, is based on Super Mario World/Super Mario Advance 2. Even more surprising is the Samus trophy, essentially the same model from SSBM, has the heroine holding her helmet in her hands. Of course, the only available screenshot from Nintendo has Samus with her back turned to us. However, it appears to be inspired from the Super Metroid character design, where Samus is a blonde bombshell. Well, that's what we figure after seeing the back of her head. We eagerly await the sight of her face.

To unlock these trophies, you will just need games saves from Super Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime present on a memory card in your GameCube when you boot up SSBM. It's identical to the same way you can obtain the Olimar trophy by having a Pikmin save available.

· TIE Fighter

Alternatively, get the TIE Fighter in the Imperial Academy Heist mission on both night and day versions, then complete the level to unlock the TIE Fighter. In the day version, after you disable all of the sensors, fly to the right over the mountains. You must find a large open space with a single comm tower. Disable the comm tower with your ion cannon, then look near the base of the tower on the left for the TIE fighter. Shoot it with your ion cannon and it will take off, fly a short distance, and land. The rebel icon will then appear over it. Switch to it and then fly to the main base. Switch to the Imperial Shuttle and fly to the level exit. In the night version, sneak past all the sensors. Turn right into the narrow valley that appears on your radar near the last sensor. Fly to the large open area. Once there, fly along the mountains on the left (staying low to avoid detection) until you reach a narrow valley on the left, which you will see on the radar. Fly into that valley and follow the way to another open area. Look for a single building and shoot the enemy pilot on the left side. The rebel icon will then appear over the TIE fighter, which is on the other side of the building. Switch to the TIE fighter and head to the main base. Switch to the Imperial Shuttle, then follow the radar back to your Snowspeeder to pick up your co-pilot. You will fly a bit past the normal level exit. Highlight Strike At The Core and press Up to find Triumph of the Empire. Once unlocked and completed with a medal, press Right on it to find Revenge on Yavin. Press Right again to find Endurance.
Death Star Escape: 10 points
The Asteroid Field: 20 points
Triumph of the Empire: 30 points
Revenge on Yavin: 40 points
Endurance: 20 points.
