السلام عليكم
تم بعد وقت طويل إصدار نواة لينكس الجديدة و رقم إصدارتها 2.5.30 ويتوقع أن تكون بها الكثير من التعديلات والتحسينات.
لتنزيل الباتش (ملف التعديل):

أما لسحب النواة بكاملها:

I downloaded kernel 2.4.19 but I had a small problem with my USB mouse. I'll try again soon

Most people who use Linux don't need to get the new kernel. Only those who have hardware that is not yet recognized by the current kernel, need to ge t the new kernel.
Also people who like to try new stuff (like myself).

In Linux, the hardware drivers are inside the kernel.

For example, suppose I have a new USB 2.0 camera that is not recognized by Red Hat 7.3 that I have, then I'll have to get kernel 2.4.19 because it has better support for USB 2.0 and hopefully it will detect my camera.

I hope this sheds some light on the matter....
