Laser FA-MAS
For this to work you need a bandana and a FA-MAS.
When you have your FA-MAS selected the number of bullets has two sections, one yellow and one red. The number of bullets falls from the yellow section to the red section before Snake reloads.
Now, fire the FA-MAS until the bullets are in the red zone (less than 4 shots left) and then select your Bandana.
Begin shooting on auto-fire and before each shot a red laser will come out of the gun like on the Socom.
It does'nt do anything except it looks good!!

See all the lasers and mines
If you want to see all the lasers, (including the place where Meyrl opens the door to), and see the mines when you can't use your mine detector, just use your thermal goggles. So if you use your thermal goggles instead of wasting your health and not getting a full view of the lasers with cigarettes, get a big view and not waste your health with thermal goggles. If you can't use your mine detector, just use your thermal goggles. You won't be able to see the range of the mine, but if you just crawl on the mine you can pick it up.

Guard Shields!
When the game is in alert mode, instead of waiting for Snake to drop the body of a guard you are strangling, walk around with him and use him as kind of a human shield to take all the pain of the bullets, keep doing this until you run out of guards!

Way to get past the dogs
After you go through the wolf-dog cave and meet Meryl punch her and quickly get into one of the boxes.She will whistle and the dog will pee on the box.Now you can equip the box and go through the caves and the dogs will sit down with hearts over thier heads and not bother you.
Unlimited Ammo with the Bandana
If you hate it when you are fighting and you run out of ammo, here's something to help. First, when you get captured by ocelot, don't submit to his torture. That way, when you beat the game, Meryl will be on the back of the snowmobile holding up a bandana that says"limitless." when you start the game again in the same memory card block, you will have the bandana on the inventory side with your rations, ciggerates, goggles,etc. When you are going to use a gun or grenade of some sort, slap on the bandana. You will not run out ammo.

Thermal Goggles
When you first enter the tank hangar at the beginning of the game, if you take the upper level air-ducts, the catwalk on which you land on will take you past two rooms. The first room, near the camera, will be a level two card, there is nothing here but the mine sweeper, but you can get that later. If you keep going, there will be a second room on Snake's left, a level 4 room. Enter this room now, but watch out for the camera in there. In the back right hand corner, there will be a pair of thermal goggles. This is the only time this particular door will be open, after that you'll have to wait for a level 4 card. If you cralw in through the floor level air ducts, then you have to go up the stairs and around the catwalk to the room.

Liquid crane
When you walk across the ledge in the blast furnace and the crane hits you. Shoot the crane with nikita 2 times and the crane will fall.

Easy way to get past the crane in the blast furnace
After you kill the gaurd when you first get in the blast furnace go to the walkway where he was. Equip the Stinger missles and point towards the wall where the crane is moving back and forth. There should be two rats walking back and forth. Lock on to the rat when the crane is near them and you will blow up the crane too. now all you have to do is get against the wall and go to the other side without having to worry about getting hit by the crane while you are walking.

Defeating Volcan
A very easy way to beat Volcan is to lay c-4 on the path you think he might walk on, then hid behing one of the walls (keep you eye on the c-4 you just laid). When Volcam walks on the c-4 push the o button. This makes his life go down a far bit. You might have to do this 5-6 time before he is finished. NOTE: Make sure Volcan doesn't walk down the path where you are hiding.

Finding the Playstation Hint
To find the playstation you have to beat the ninja, then after you beat him search around in the circular area, if you push the triangle button and look hard you will find the playstation..
p.s. this is not really a cheat but something to do.

Make quick work of Psycho Mantis
Hide behind the desk at the top of the screen. When Mantis dissapears, equip your thermal goggles. He should become visible. Then, you can rip him a new one!

To get the nakita launcher don't get the socomgo to the air duct on the second floor. Go back to the trunk near the tank hanger. Then it will be there

Easy way To Survive Torture Rack
Use a Game Pad Made by Performence Accsesories. Put it on auto-fire, even though Ocelot says you can't you can still do it with this controller.

Ammo Extra Guns
In the second level of Metal Gear Solid get the chaff grenedes and the socom gun, don't go get the stun grenedes yet. Go to the second level and to the end of the walkway. When a man comes kill him. keep killing the men that come with your gun until your ammo runs out. Hide behind the wal and box. when they come near you break their necks. At one point they will stop coming. When they stop coming and the thing it the top right cornner goes off go to the vent near their. go in till it shows him go in by himslef. then go back out and down to the first level. Go in the truck and you will get the Nakita It can destroy the cameras. Shoot off a missle and guide it to the camera that looks over the stun grenedes. or throw chaff and go in. ethier way when you get in their you will get Stun grenedes,C-4,Socom bullets.

If Your Rations are frozen, you can simple, go to the Restrooms by the commander's room. Go by the hand dryer and it will thaw them out.
