According to news received from the Afghan province of Paktia, Mujahideen ambushed an American military base at Lawara near Pak-Afghan border. In all, fifteen missiles hit which exploded inside the camp, causing significant damage. The camp was attacked from North-West area and was so intense that the whole area shook and fear was evident among the locals. B 52 bombers and other jets were called in following the attack however the Mujahideen had fled by that time and were not located.
No casualties have yet been confirmed and all roads leading to that area are currently blocked by American military. It has also been reported in another report that the Americans have started to leave the Lawara camp due to the high frequency of attacks. People have started to loot valuables from the area while the Peeli Kabul Khel tribe took over the camp. It has also been reported that after the Americans, Afghan soldiers would be brought to this camp to control such dangerous area.
In a report from Khost, it has been reported that at 10 am Thursday, Mujahideen attacked the American command center located in Khost city. Three died and several were injured as result of three missiles landing inside the command.
