A recent article in the Japanese gaming magazine V-Jump has released some new details on Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.
Moogles will take on the postal service role once again in this Final Fantasy; much like their role in Final Fantasy IX, they will deliver letters to and from villagers in correspondence with the characters and their party. Also, characters will be able to upgrade their magic with the use of Magic Stones, which can be found on the field map.
Travelling in the world of Crystal Chronicles will require party members to use teamwork to overcome a variety of obstacles, such as finding a way across a raised bridge or searching for an alternate route to a new destination.
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles will be released for the GameCube console sometime this spring in Japan; however, Square has not specified an exact release date as of yet.
