Closing Comments
Tube Slider is an above average racer. But it's not in the same league as more ambitious entries like XGRA and F-Zero. The game wants to be F-Zero. Hell, it might have actually been F-Zero at one time or another. Its control scheme and play mechanics sure seem similar. But in the end the game can't compete with the F-Zero's greater sense of speed, balance and visual finesse, and with only one gameplay mode consisting of 10 tracks that can be whipped through, it lacks the depth to keep you coming back for more.
Worth a rental. But don't buy it.

Average, but all too generic futuristic racer with little in the vein of options or modes. 5.0
Graphics
Runs at 60 frames. Lots of themes and variation in tracks. Saturated, first-generation graphics. 6.0
Sound
Average in every way. 5.0
Gameplay
A decent F-Zero clone that succeeds on some levels and fails on others. Lacks polish and depth. 6.0
Lasting Appeal
The main game isn't much, but there is a four-player mode. Most probably won't come back to it, though. 6.0
