dont learn that OLD crap...learn something new...

if u learn old languages...u wont be able to take full advantages from todays PCs...also it wont fullfill ur needs...

learn it only if u want to enjoy...

learn something easy as a strat...like JScript.net

will, i don't agree with u 2501
first this old crap will be always be usefull, any good programmer must have good knowldge of old tools like C for example and any programmer at all must be able to handle assemply instruction and aware of the concepts of programming in assemply
also in my personal openion i think any one who want to start learning programming must start with a structured language to get the right mind-set of programming, starting with java(which is an oop language) woudn't give him the feel of programming(the guy is only 14 i don't think that he is in rush to "take full advantages from todays PCs")
i think a good start is to begin with C, move to C++ then java and visual tools
in the mean while he must learn about computer structure, how does the computer excutes programs, which can b optained by assemply
what do u think?

Pascal is a good start as a structured language. it’s much easier than c and it's always th first programming tool that learned by computer science students all over the world
the problem with assembly is that it's too darn hard :02: and u won't b good at assembly unless u know a lot about computer science over all, how does things work, and how parts of computer talk to each other, it’s not very hard but it takes a lot of time and reading
ok, if u want 2 learn true programming u must know the following, learning programming can be divided into 3 major fields:
I-mind-set
II-tools
III-techniques

the most important part ever is the first part, understanding what programming is, the philosophy of programming f u may call it that
Second part is languages, which s not important as many people might think, u c there s a saying states that" a true programmer can learn a new language in a week" , it's just like driving, if u know how 2 drive, u can learn to drive any type of cas as soon as u set in it..
Third part concerns some methods and tricks that u learn to improve and enhance ur programming abilities, and these can b obtained by time..

my advice 2 u s this:
READ READ READ
this is the only way 2 learn any thing s 2 read a lot about it, second thing 2 do s 2 write as more books and code u read, start writing ur own small programs to practice ur self, it's a great feeling when u find ur code executed on the monitor.. :jester:
first u must read introductory books about computer architecture, digital systems, and programming theories
after that start reading about programming tools
a lot of free books can b found on the internet easily, if u want we can send u a lot of books or links to websites that r filled with resources
through this u can ask about stuff that u don' understand and we all will b glad 2 help u

will, unfortunately i don't have any books in arabic, and i may say that u won't find good programming books in arabic
u should try reading in english (using a dectionary or something) this is important because in some day you'll have to read in english, u still young so u should train ur self from now..
this is my opinion any ways :أفكر: , u can make a post requesting programming books in arabic and i think u'll find someone to help u in that

i agree with u amgad

but also the arabic books is w00t :D i don`t think u will get the perfect idea from the arabic books ..

before one year exactly i read many arabic books that talking in programming especially the C/C++ language but i cann`t understand nothing :09:

and when i bought an english books i learn C programming very well

so i always suggest to buy english book not arabic cuz the arabic book only translate without experience :)

goodbye and i hope u get my point
