The difference

Hello everybody



all i want is someone tell me the difference between either and neither and too with an example
:boggled: cuz I'm really confuse

I'll give ya two sentences and i want ya to tell me if there is any errors , Here we go

1st : Space is silent , there is not any water either


2nd : earth is not silent , there is water either


I'll be thankful if you help me with this

"Both Either and Neither r used in negative statements, but the difference is in the second part where the word occurs
"بمعنى ان الكلمتين تستخدمان في الجمل المنفيه و الفرق ان either تستخدم لما يكون الجزء الثاني من الجمله منفي اما Nither فتستخدم في الجزء المثبت كما هو موضح في
الامثله"
و السبب في هذا التفريق اننا لا يصح ان نستخدم نفيين في جمله واحده فقولنا

هو خاطيء لاستخدام اشارتين للنفي

when u use the negative particle "not" with the helping verb u can use either and not neither
المعنى انك اذا نفيت المقطع الثاني من الجمله تستخدم either

either follows the aux. verb or verb to be
like this: she doesnt either
not like this: either she doesnt
nor like that: she either doesnt

Maram doesnt want to go, and Sally doesnt either

neither is used in positive statements
e.g. i dont like football, and neither does Maha
e.g. boys r not nice, and neither are girls

today I have learned from you "Makkawiyah" the difference between NEITHER and EITHER ... but you didn't mentioned "too" !!!

I think I could help :)

As you say NEITHER and EITHER are used in Negative Sentences.

for example like what you did write: Amal and Sara are not kind, and neither is Nada.
Maram doesn't wanna go and neither does Sally.

But!! about "too", you can use it in Positive Sentences ... like:
Leana:I wanna go shopping.
Linda: And I wanna go too!!


that was when you use "too"
I hope i did it right!!

either vs too

Either is used with a negative verb when you are agreeing with
.something someone doesn't do or like etc

For example:- B agrees with A in the negative

"A - "I don't like cheese." B - "I don't like it either

"A- "I haven't seen Lord of the Rings." B - "I haven't seen it either

Too is used with an affirmative verb when you are agreeing with
.something someone does or likes etc

For example:- B agrees with A in the positive

"A - "I love ice-cream." B - "I love it too

"A- "I've seen Gladiator." B - "I've seen it too
