الميلانين هي المادة التي تحدد لون البشرة, الشعر والعيون عادةً

وهي عبارة عن صبغة تُنتج في خلايا تدعى (ميلاتوسين)

إذا هذه الخلايا لم تستطع إفراز مادة الميلانين أو تناقصت كمية إفراز هذه المادة ذلك سيؤدي إلى أن يكون لون البشرة فاتح جداً أو يكون أبيض بالكامل

مثل الفيتو لغو .

اليكوديرم مصطلح عام يعني لون البشرة الشديد البياض

مثل الحرق فهو يؤدي إلى تدمير خلايا الصبغة

الفيتولغو هو فقط أحد أنواع الليكوديرما ....
