اريدكم ان تساعدوني في اعطائي معلومات عن قاعدة IF الشرطية

Hi there, I actually don't know much a bout it, but i guess I could give :) you some tips that might help you

The most important thing that you sould know about IF that the verb to be which is ALWAYS used with it is (WERE) even with pronouns we use (WAS) with

:For example
We always use WAS with He, She, and It
:As in
She WAS playing
He WAS studying
But with IF we have to use WERE
:Like in
I would have helped him if he WERE studying
If she WERE playing, I would have played with her

:And if you niticed an expression that is used alot in movies which is
I wouldn't do that if I were you
Even though we always use WAS with I
:Like in
I was hungry
:but with IF we say
I could eat a whole burger by myself if I were hungry

And by the way, if you know the rule of (WISH) is exactly like that of IF, we always have to use WERE
:Such as
I wish I were a bird
He wishes that he were a doctor

:) It might sound funny, but that's the rule

I'm so sorry if you didn't understand, but I'm not really good at explaining. Please don't hesitate in asking anything, and if you want :) me to rewrite it in Arabic please say so

IF هي أداة الشرط باللغة الإنجليزية، يعني زي أدوات الشرط في لغتنا، مثل إذا و إن،، لكن طبعا بلغتنا المسأله ما شاء الله معقده أكثر يعني عندنا تقريبا 12 أداة شرط و في منها الجازم و غير الجازم.. و اذا تبغى شرح زياده اعطيني خبر تراني اخذت هذا الدرس الترم اللي فات و اخذت بالنحو A :D :biggthump :icon6:
