Jason Singleton talks to us about his band and games.

Jason Singleton plays the skins for up-and-coming rockers Trust Company. These Geffen recording artists are heading out on tour with Papa Roach and No Warning. You can win a Nintendo GameCube or a guitar signed by all the bands on the tour by going to www.hyfntrak.com (http://www.hyfntrak.com/papatrustno/AFF17239/). We caught up with Jason to chat about the band's music and their love of video games.

N.com: Why is the drummer always the coolest member of a band?

Jason: I don't know I guess we're just blessed that way.

N.com: What would you consider to be the biggest factor in your progress from a regional touring band, of sorts, to being on a national stage?

Jason: We have a really strong work ethic, and we took the initiative to sell everything we have, get on the road and tour and play to people who wouldn't have seen us otherwise. There's a lot of luck involved, too. Sometimes the road is longer than you want it to be.

N.com: Is touring the nation and being on a major label everything you thought it would be?

Jason: It has its pros and cons. I love touring; I love playing music. I wouldn't trade it for anything. The con is that you're away from your loved ones. You don't get to sleep in your bed.

N.com: Does playing games during the recording session just kill time for you, inspire you, relieve stress? What does it do for you?

Jason: It kills time and it relieves stress. I'm not really that great at video games. I stopped after SNES because of all the new buttons! Too many for me. I still play video games but (the other guys) kick my butt. It's definitely stress relief, and it's fun.

N.com: What was your first video game system?

Jason: I had an Atari. I was a master at Atari games. The joystick and a button is all you had. I can handle that. Some of my favorite games were Frogger, Kaboom! and Pac-Man.

N.com: How long are you on the road touring in a year?

Jason: Last year we were on the road for about three months. I know we have three months booked right now. I hope they have us out all year. We've done it before.

N.com: How much time do you need off from the road?

Jason: It depends on the momentum of the tour. If you want to keep your sanity, you need at least a few days at home.

N.com: Are you able to squeeze much video game time in on the road?

Jason: The guys always bring their consoles on the road. Most of the busses have TVs in the lounge so we get a lot of playing in.

N.com: If your band was a video game, what kind of game would it be?

Jason: I would think we would be some kind of skating or snowboarding game. Something really active and with a lot of energy in it. As a band and at our live shows, we have a lot of energy and like to interact with the crowd.

N.com: Is there anything you'd like to add that we didn't talk about, Jason?

Jason: I just would like to say thanks to all the people for checking out our band, picking up the record and supporting us.
