Tony Hawk's Underground 3, X-Men Legends 2, and Quake 4
بالاضافه الى لعبة The Movies (الاسم قابل للتغيير) للبي سي .. و هذا نص الخبر بالكامل
Driven by hit titles Spider-Man 2, DOOM 3, and Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Activision today reported record earnings for its recent fiscal year, including a dramatic 78 percent increase in profits.
For the period ended March 31, 2005 the company reports record net revenues of $1,405.9 million, a 48 percent gain from the $947.7 million reported last year. Activision also reports record net income for the year at $138.3 million, a dramatic 78 percent increase over last year's $77.7 million.
For just the fourth quarter, the company reports net revenues $203.9 million, 25 percent above $162.9 million from Q4 last year. This year's Q4 net income was $3.6 million, down from $6.7 million last year.
Though the company's strong performance is encouraging, perhaps most exciting for gamers is news that many of Activision's most-anticipated titles will arrive in time for the holidays this year. In a conference call with investors today, Activision Publishing president and CEO Ron Doornink revealed that new entries in the Tony Hawk, Call of Duty, X-Men Legends, True Crime, Quake, and Shrek franchises would appear in the company's third quarter -- i.e., October through December 2005.
While sequels like Tony Hawk's Underground 3, X-Men Legends 2, and Quake 4 had all been confirmed, this is the first we've heard any sort of release window for the titles. Add Peter Molyneux's The Movies and the (as-yet-unnamed) new project from Neversoft, both of which Doornink also confirmed for Holiday 2005 release, and Activision is bidding for a lot of space on Christmas lists.
The strong lineup going forward, including Activision's expected entry into next-generation software, has the company optimistic about its future. Looking into the next fiscal year, Activision anticipates $1.43 billion in net revenues, including first-quarter revenues of $200 million.
