The wolf had swallowed a fishbone and went to ask the heron to pull it out of
his throat


"I will reward you handsomely for your help," he promised the heron.


,The heron agreed and, in an instant

put his long beak down the throat of the wolf and pulled out the fishbone


At this, the wolf thanked the heron:shakehand: and began to walk away

"what about the reward you promised?:18: "the heron shouted after him.

!'what?'' the wolf replied.:7: '' You put your head between my jaw and I didn't bite it off"
