Year 2005 is almost over, meaning that the new Norton Antivirus is here, Norton Antivirus 2006. Beta testing has begun and the ET1 release just came out on June 23rd according to my sources, many thanks to ph4ze. Norton Antivirus 2006 is codenamed Chaka ET1 (enhanced testing) build 30a. This information is top secret and has not been released to anyone yet, this is 100% Xeniac exclusive. Note: People are thinking that I am the one who leaked this information, I am not a beta tester of Symantec, I did not obtain this information soley off their beta site. The only thing I am providing is what my source provided me with. This does not violate anybody's rights. All I know is that my source's alias is "ph4ze" and it was in an anonymous email that can not be tracerouted. All connections are lost, there is no way of getting back to this "ph4ze" unless he comes forth and contacts me again.

Hi everyone,
Chaka ET1, build 30a is now available for testing on the “Chaka Builds” page. Chaka ET1 is a pre-Beta build, and there may be a few issues with the product during this stage of testing. Installing this build will remove previous versions of Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security. If you do not have the CD of your licensed copy of these products, do not install this build. This build will expire when ET1 testing is complete.
The test script for Chaka has also been posted to the “Test Scripts” page. Please read the test script in its entirety before you begin testing.
We have a new testing feature for Chaka – the test script survey. This survey contains the same steps and questions listed in the test script document, only in a survey format. The survey is broken into 3 sections: Tests 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9. We recommend that you print ET1 test script, perform the tasks on the script and write down your findings (and save screenshots). When you have completed the first section on paper, please fill out Part 1 of the Test Script Survey and proceed through the rest of the tests in the same way. Please be sure to report all issues with the “Report Defects” link as well.
Also, if you encounter an issue that has been discussed on the user forums, please report this issue in the Report Defect section. The more information we have about an issue, the faster we can resolve it. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
