ابي اشوف مين بيقدر يساعدني ؟ ... ولازم نسوي camp
لل NM الي يسوي له drop
وال drop 100%
ياخذ تقريبا طلوعه 6-8 ساعات ..

Charybdis (Level: 70) (Sea Serpent Grotto)
وهذه معلومات شاملة عن الموضوع كله

All you need to know.
How to get to spawn Location "Don't forget to bring a Gold Beastcoin (this is retradeable with the door)"
From Sea Serpent Gotto zone (from Yhutunga Jungle)w/o a Map:
1) Hug Left Wall
2) You will go down 3 big steps (not holes, just steps)
3) You will see a Large Yellow Door (this is NOT the gold coin door). Make a LEFT when you see this door and Keep hugging Left Wall.
4) You will come to an opening with many Shagins and a large pool in the middle (You will need Sneak if your level is low), head straight, barring to the Left going Under the bridge (beware of mobs above they can agro to level 75's).
5) After you pass under the Bridge, hug Left Wall and you will come to a dead end and you will be able to Tab to an unmarked spot in the wall.
6) Cast Sneak before trading Gold Coin to door (beware Water Elements, can be behind door)
7) Keep tabbing and hitting Enter several times on the door until you get the message, "...you can insert a gold beastcoin..."
8) Trade Gold Beastcoin (you will still have coin after trade) and you can reopen from inside.
9) With Sneak on Hug Left Wall. You will pass two Cliffs (you can fall off these so careful).
10) Drop down the 2nd Cliff
11) Hug Left Wall till you see another Cliff.
12) Drop Down 1st Cliff (you should see Devil Mantas now).
13) Hug Left Wall untill you come to another dead end with a unmarked door.
14) Open door by just hitting enter.
15) You will come to a circular room with treasure chests all around and a NPC shagin in the back. Now you have found NM Charybdis spawn point.
Overview:
Just the main thing is, always HUG the LEFT WALL drop on 2nd Cliff and drop again on 1st Cliff.
How to get your Joyeuse:
1) Charybdis (NM) is a 8-12 hr. lottery spawn (he is NOT a 24hr spawn as posted from below) if you know ToD then your very lucky if not then it's just a matter of time.
2) In the NM spawn room there will always be 2 place holders named "Devil Mantas" (sea monk type). Sometimes one will respawn behind the door behind the room, kill it. These do LINK.
3) Kill the 2 place holders (Devil Mantas) these will respawn every 15-16 mins so get a Stopwatch (I'm Serious). Time the pops so you know when to get ready for them.
4) Devil Mantas can be soloed by RDM's or NIN's I am unsure of subed/NIN's.
5) Water Elements can spawn behind door and agro by magic through door if too close. So becareful, they are very nasty and con Easy Prey as lvl 75.
6) Keep killing the 2 Devil Mantas until Charybdis Spawns.
7) ***A hint to some people*** if it has past 15 mins for repops (example 17mins and placeholder have NOT poped. Most likely the NM will pop next.)
8) When Charybdis has poped call your LS or friends to get down there quick. If you have your LS or friends there already, then you're a lucky guy.
9) If you see a stranger walking in and see's your NM, quicky /sea all "Name" and see if that person is in a group. If he is not in a group, he won't claim it, because this NM is NOT soloable and very hard to sleep. If he is in a party and you search how many people are in S. Serpents Grotto, and there's a lot. Pray that they are not there for Joyeuse too.
Fight Setup
1) NIN/WAR is highly recommended because Charybdis can hit up to 2-6 times. He has a high amount of HP so expect a long fight if done with a small group. AOE;s will wipeout shadows so get ready to Stun or Heal.
NIN combos:
NIN & rdm & brd
NIN & war & rdm
NIN & nin & rdm
NIN etc... you get the idea. A 6 PT is always better. ^^
2) WAR/NIN refer to NIN up above, same thing but might want to get another Shadow Provoker.
3) PLD/WAR I really don't reccomend a PLD tank this UNLESS, you have an alliance or a lot of healers. PLD have Earth Staff on at all times.
***My 1st killing on this NM was***
18 Alliance with PLD tank
***My 2nd killing on this NM was***
PLD - DRK - RDM(me) - RDM - WHM - BRD
I know, it looks like only one DD, but we did it, we had infinate mana to cure so it was no problem for the PLD tanking, it was just a longer fight but more exciting.
4) PLD/NIN I would only recommend this if you have a THF SATA in PT, but you would only do PLD/NIN if you have a low amount people to help. Hate will be and issue if it is a long fight.
How Charybdis Attacks
1. Hits 1-6 times
2. Water AOE (damage 400-500)
3. Oil AOE (damage 200-300) blindness
4. Tenticle Slash (damage +500)
5. HP Regen
6. Bubble Shield (I thinks it's a DEF boost or Shell)
7. AOE -str
Things to know during fight
1) Kill off Devil Mantas 1st if they pop near NM, you don't want aggro during battle. I am 90% you can carbuncle pull and NM won't Link.
2) Fight NM in the ramp area where the land touches the water.
3) Mages always have Stoneskin and BarWatera on. Becareful of the Water Element popping behind the door.
4) Always have Paralyze on NM, this will pwn his multi attacks.
5) The only negative effects Charybidis casts are, Blind and -STR and one more I forgot. Blind will last a verrrrry long time.
6) Tentical Slash is a hard hitter and AOE water spin is a hard hitter too.
7) Try NOT to get Hate MAGES!!! If Charybdis is charging at you, he will blow through your Stoneskin/Blink/Phanlanx with his 6 hits. I (elvaan) died with 3 hits and he kept hitting my body for 3 more times while I was still dead (funny lag).
8) Joyeuse is a 100% drop ^^ the sword will occasionally hit twice about 70-80%!
