The Real Story of Romeo and Juliet




The Tragic Lovers



.In the city of Verona, there lived two families

.They were the Montagues and the Capulets

.Both families were very powerful

.And they hated each other

The families had quarreled once. No one could even remember why. But since that time, no Capulet had any use for a Montague. No Montague could stand the sight of a Capulet.

.Members of two families had often had street fights

.Members of both families had been killed

.Romeo was a Montague. He was young and full of mischief

One evening, for fun, he and two young friends put on masks.

They sneaked into a masked ball at the Capulets' young woman he had never seen before He didn't know who she was.

:05:.He only knew she was beautiful and she smilied at him

He fell in Love with her on the spot. Later, he learned who she she was. She was Juliet, daughter of the Capulets! She was one of the enemy.
:o ......Yet he felt no hatred for her

Romeo couldn't help himself. He didn't care that Juliet was a Capulet ; he loved her anyway. One night, he slipped into the Capulets' garden and gazed up at her window. Juliet came to the window. He called to her. He told her who he was. He told her of his love. She replied that she had fallen

They both knew their families would never agree to let them marry:( . So they decided to be married secretly. A friend monk, Friar Laurence, married them the next day. But as Romeo was coming from the wedding , he was caught up in a street fight. One of his best friends was fighting with a member of the Capulet family named Tybalt. Tybalt killed Romeo's friend. In the heat of the moment :mad22: (http://www.montada.com/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=317#), Romeo killed Tybalt.

To escape punishment, Romeo had to leave the city. And so
:sad2: .he left his new bride behind


Now Juliet's parents intended for her to marry a man named Paris. They would not permit her to say no :196: . They were already preparing for the wedding. But Juliet was secretly married to Romeo. She already had a husband !! However,
?she was afraid to tell her parents this. What was she to do
.She turned to Friar Laurence for help

Friar Laurence had an idea. He gave her a sleeping potion."Drink this," he told her."It will put you in a deep sleep. But you will appear to be dead. Thus there can be no wedding. Your family will take your body to the family tomb. I will send a message to Romeo. I will tell him what was really happened. When you wake up, Romeo will come to get you."

Juliet did as he said. She drank the potion. She fell into a deep sleep and seemed to be dead:24: (http://www.montada.com/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=317#). Filled with gried, her family took her to the tomb. But a terrible thing happened:06: . Friar Laurence's message never reached Romeo :11:. Instead, Romeo heard that Juliet was dead, and he believed that she really was dead:02: . He went to the tomb and saw her lying
.there.Heartbroken, he killed himself by drinking poison
. He died by her side

Juliet awoke from her deathlike sleep. She found Romeo's body beside her. She, too was overcome by grief. Taking
.Romeo's dagger, she stabbed herself

there's a moral we can get from this story, that the old saying never goes right: "never is too late" i think there's a limit for every time when being late


see it on a movie

i kinda watched the "romeo and juliet" movie (starring BRATT PITT) and it was quite different fromthe real story,

Hi Every Bady how i see that all of we will agree with the story of Romio &Juliet] is agreat exampil of the hole meaining of true love.
but i want to say some think please i want your opinin when i read this story i have to cubal feeling the first one i feel so happy when i saw this emaizing high and hot love between them which chalincher all the heatness and even they die but they gave us the most meaing in love.
the second feeling that i was so sadness becouse i belive now thats we missing this kind of love .
