Today,We gonna elaborate to talk about ( enough ) and ( too) and How do we use them correctly

First part

enough

:)I'll begin with (enough): so be open minded

enough as a noun

:meaning
as much as is necessary; in the amount or to the degree needed

بقدر ما هو ضروري, في الكمية أو إلى الدرجة المطلوبة

http://www.w6w.net/users/28-07-2005/w6w_20050728021118977700650747.jpg

.enough comes before nouns

تأتي (enough ) قبل الاسماء :

أمثلة على ذلك :

We have enough bread

We wanted to paly football but we didn't have enough players

(why don't you buy a car ? You have got enough money. ( not ' money enough'

http://www.w6w.net/users/28-07-2005/w6w_200507280212329777c1340d06.jpg

تأتي (enough ) بدون اسم

امثله على ذلك:

I have got some money but not enough to buy a car.

(= I need more to buy a car )

Would you like some more to eat? ' No, thanks. I had enough

You're always at home . You don't go out enough

enough as an adjective

(enough ) كصفة

http://www.w6w.net/users/28-07-2005/w6w_200507280213109777cd2d7922.jpg

زenough comes after adjective

تأتي ايضا (enough ) بعد الصفات :

أمثلة على ذلك :

(Shall we sit outside ? ' No it isn't warm enough ( not enough warm

؟Can you hear the radio ? Is it loud enough for you

(Don't buy that coat. It's nice but it isn't long enough (= it's too short

enough as an adverb

used after an adjective, adverb or verb to mean to the necessary degree

so, meaning 'to the necessary degree

تأتي( enough ) بعد الصفات والظروف

امثلة على ذلك :

(Is your coffee hot enough? (adjective

(He didn't work hard enough. (adverb

Remember

الخلاصة:

تأتي ( enough ) قبل الاسماء وتأتي بعد الصفات واالظروف

Second part

Too

Too means "more than enough " or " more than is needed or wanted

يعنى "أكثر من اللازم" أو أكثر من المحتاج أو المطلوب

http://www.w6w.net/users/28-07-2005/w6w_2005072802155797772542488d.jpg

too) comes before adjectives and adverbs)

تأتي (too) قبل الصفات و الظروف

أمثلة على ذلك :

?Can you turn the radio down

(It's too loud ( = louder than I want

I can't work. I'm too tired

I think you work too hard

It's too cold to go for a swim

You're driving too fast

When we put( too) before nouns, it goes in the expressions too much and too many.

عندما نضع (too) قبل الاسماء فأنها تدخل في التعابير مثل (too much / too many)

too much is used before uncountable nouns.

وهنا ( too much ) تستخدم لغير المعدود
e.g.

You put too much sugar in my coffee

too many is used before countable nouns as you know

و( too many) للمعدود كما نعرف ..

e.g.

There are too many people to fit in the car.

http://www.w6w.net/users/28-07-2005/w6w_200507280217199777910652d5.jpg
e.g.

I don't like the weather here. There is too much rain ( = more rain than is good )

Let's go to another restaurant. There are too many people here.

Ahmad studies all time. I think he studies too much

Traffic is a problem in this town. There are too many cars.

http://www.w6w.net/users/28-07-2005/w6w_200507280218019777b626e172.jpg

http://www.w6w.net/users/28-07-2005/w6w_200507280219329777b8e2e657.jpg

Note:

enough and too with adjectives can be followed by 'for someone/something'.

(enough and too) يمكن أن تلحق ب ('for someone / something) مع الصفات.

Example:

أمثلة:
•The dress was big enough for me.
•She's not experienced enough for this job.
•The coffee was too hot for me.
•The dress was too small for her.

We can also use ('to + infinitive) after enough and too with

adjectives / adverbs.

وهذة امثلة على ذلك :

Example:

The coffee was too hot to drink

He didn't work hard enough to pass the exam

She's not old enough to get married

! You're too young to have grandchildren

Finally

Take a look at these schedules carefully

We Say:

:o just as if im reading this info for the first time
the lesson is really coooool
"i just wanted to add the difference bet. "too" and "so
too is used when its more than what u need
it has a negative impression
while so is used when its cool and u like it this way
it has a positive impression
e.g
:196: u cant say: i love u too much
:196: neither : too many students passed the exam
while saying: i love u so much
too many students failed
:biggthumpis proper
:أفكر: i wish i said sth useful

(To complete this necklace we'll add just one word ( very

Very) goes before an adverb or adjective to make it stronger).

تأتي (very) قبل الصفات والظروف لجعله أقوى تعبيراً

Example

(The girl was very beautiful. (adjective
(He worked very quickly. (adverb

If we want to make (a negative form) of an adjective or adverb

we can use a word of opposite meaning, or not very

إذا أردنا (a negative form) لصفة أو ظرف, يمكن أن نستخدم كلمةً معاكسة, اونضيف ( not very)

Example

The girl was ugly OR The girl was not very beautiful

He worked slowly OR He didn't work very quickly

(BE CAREFUL! There is a big difference between (too )and (very

:Very) expresses a fact)

.He speaks very quickly

Too) suggests there is a problem)

(He speaks too quickly (for me to understand

وسلمتكم :ciao:
