Hi guys

Read this lesson please

It's really useful

Reflexive pronouns

(myself -yourself-himself-herself-itself-ourselves-yourselves-themselves)

First of all It's used when the subject is situated as the object too.

Ex

I cut myself

I am teaching myself English

But It can be used in another purposes

1-For making sure about the subject

In this condition it can be used in two ways

First it comes after the subject

Ex: The president himself came here yesterday

Second it comes after the object

Ex:I repaired my car myself

2-It can be used with "by" and it means 'alone-with no help'

Ex

This woman lives by herself = alone

I repaired my car by myself =with no help

Hint

Reflexive pronouns can't be used after some verbs(Dress-Wash-Shower-Shave-have-injure)

I hope that it was an easy topic

and easy to understand

Very nice

Interesting

:biggthump

I have'nt read this lesson years ago

:أفكر:

The last part was totally new for me

:33:

I have a question

:06:

About the word injure

We cannot use them with the word "injure" only? or any words that are synonyms to it like "hurt" for example?

Because I always use this expression "I hurt myself" l

So is it wrong? or is it just wrong to say

"I injured myself"

It doesn't sound wrong to me lol

thanX so much for this lesson

:biggthump

Ciao for now

Hi guys
Thanx for replying

My brother Naughty Angel
The verbs that I mentioned is the only verbs that can't go with reflexive pronouns
and of course the other verbs that don't mean something when u use the reflexive with them
U can't say I play myself

So u can say I hurt myself It's right but u can't say Injured myself

Can u get it???
