- Many rap likeness's have been captured (Male and Female) and they will be more realistic than ever.
- Characters eyes will track movement (during fights and cutscenes) and scan each area for other threats during the fight for added realism.

Def Jam 3 is all about aspiring to the MTV vision of the hip-hop lifestyle. The basic goal of Def Jam3 is to start a record label and build yourself up into a music mogul. Along the way, you will acquire riches that you can use to buy houses, yachts, cars and all the other accoutrements that rappers buy to fluant their millionaire lifestyles
Features:
- The music will now be intregrated into the gameplay
- The controls are likely to mirror the style of fight night but not totally copy the system.
- More emphasis is being but on countering and defense but it will not resort to being a button masher.
- Controls are being made much more responsive and precise so you always feel in control of your character.
- It has also been indicated that blazin moves will be interactive to go along with the feeling of being in control.
Arenas
- Arenas will be 3 times bigger than those featured in fight for NY and will feature tons of destructable items. You will be able to throw opponents though dry wall to fight in the street using the broken pieces of the wall as a weapon.
- No stage will look the same when a fight has finished. Explosions can change the lanscape.
Customisation
-Extensive character customixation will return this time around but this time what your character wears will in turn affect factors in the match such as, big flashy things will do more than get the crowd cheering your style; they will actually add damage to your punches and certain items will hinder mobility.
Online
-Online mode has been confirmed but that is all that is known at this time.
