Factual cond. : probable changes in past results**
Remember that the speaker or writer is expressing an opinion about the results of the past under different conditions or circumstances
We use the past perfect in the "IF" clause*
And we use ( would + have + the past participle) in the result clause*

يستخدم هذا النوع من الجمل الشرطية للتعبير عن نتائج احداث الماضي تحت ظروف او حالات مختلفه
كما نقول في العربي:
لو كان كذا لحصل كذا
الفعل المستخدم
نستخدم الماضي التام في جمله الشرط
و نستخدم الافعال المساعده would و have مع التصريف الثالت للفعل في جمله جواب الشرط
e.g.
if we had found her address, we would have written her*
if u had come to the party, it would have been more interesting*
if my brother had done his HW, the teacher would not have punished him*
تنبيهات:
Avoid using would have and a participle instead of had and a participle in the "IF" clause
لا تستخدم الفعلين المساعدين ( would + have) مع التصريف الثالث بدلا من ( had) و التصريف الثالث في جمله الشرط

Impossible Results : were
This type is used when we want to imagine or wish something that is impossible or that can never happen
Remember that the verb BE is always WERE in contrary to-fact cond*

يستخدم هذا النوع من الجمل الشرطية للتعبير عن امور او امنيات مستحيله الحدوث
الفعل المستخدم:
يستخدم were في جمله الشرط
و يستخدم الفعل المساعد would, could مع التصريف الاول للفعل في جمله جواب الشرط

(if the party were on Friday, we could go (the party isn’t on Friday*
(if my son were here, I would be happy ( my son isn’t here*
(if it were a little larger, this flat would be perfect ( the flat isn’t larger*
تنبيهات:
Avoid changing were to agree with the subject in contrary-to-fact statements
لا تغير الفعل المساعد were ليتوافق مع الفاعل في هذا النوع من الجمل
يعني الفعل المساعد دائما و ابدا هو WERE

never say: if my son was here, I would be happy

Remember that there is a subject and a verb that determines the change in conditions after the connector unless:
