Even though the SE-R is just abit faster. The Impala is only in offered in 4 speed auto, heavier. I think if the Impala came in a 6-Speed tranny it would of killed the SE-R. I was also shocked that the Impala has better fuel ratings considering the bigger engine, Supercharger, Extra weight. Both are pretty quick for there size and both are very attractive cars. Hopefully next time around the Impala will be atleast 100 horses over the SE-R with a V8 and a serious tranny. Stock vs stock the Altima wins but as for bang for your buck the Impala wins by just a hair. Personally i would take the Impala with a simple pair of headers id rip apart a SE-R. (Edmunds, Motortrend, Forums, Roadandtrack all used for this comparo)
