Are you interested in reading English books?

Reading English books is the best way of learning English as a second language. Sometimes, you find yourself good in all skills of language, which are speaking, listening, reading, and writing. But you don't find yourself creative, that is to have an ability to create complex sentences or expressions as natives do. The problem here is not you skills. Actually, it is your lack of vocabulary and expressions and idioms.

Some people think that such problems are easy to deal with. As the thought, you just need some dictionaries for idioms and expression and some books for increasing vocabulary that is divided in some levels, depending on your level. Finally they just read the wholly book and use it as it is, without knowing at least what language is used not taken from a dictionary, which could be unfitted with the situation you are talking about.

As for the solution, it is simple, easy, and also interesting and that is TO READ BOOKS. In fact, reading is the simplest work that ever the human can do, you don't need to read with your voice just read with your eyes and that would be easier.

I am a ksu-english-literature student and have studied in my major something to read such as novels, plays, poetry, and the like. It is actually the best way of learning and there are many books to read in English.

As an example, you can read the novel Robinson Crusoe, which is the most interesting and it is a great novel or you can read the translated-from-Arabic book, which is named The Arabian Nights.

Finally, if you are interested as am I, you can just give us some titles of books you have already read, advising others to read it. One more thing, any book will be accepted, not only literature, but everything that you might think that it could be useful for others, hoping to be, generally, easy to read and understand and also interesting.

Nice move

The last novel I read was The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon
And it was SOMETHING AMAZING
I loved it, and his style of writing is very attracting, it was one of his bestsellers
I also read for him Nothing Lasts Forever, and The Stars Shine Down
Both were great, and both were bestsellers
And I'll start with The Stranger in the Mirror as soon as the exam period ends, I hope it's as good as the ones I read
Ciao

Thank you sister, naughty girl, for you suggestion.
You are most welcome.
:)

I will read the one of the novels which you have talked about, as an example, and if it was great, I would read the whole author's novels.
I hope you do, and I hope you like it. They were all great, I found them all page-turners!!l

But, tell me about, is it simple to read it or diffecult in vocabulary and structure?
It depends on the novel, for example, I read Nothing Lasts Forever and the structure and sentences were very simple, easy, and understandable. But some might find little difficulty in vocabulary because it had a medical part, but dictionaries will solve the problem. However, I started The Stranger in the Mirror few days ago and I found it very difficult to clearly comprehend. Or maybe my mind was busy with exams and projects, Allah a3lam. So I stopped and I'll start it all over again next vacation lol. As for The Stars Shine Down and The Best Laid Plans, they're very easy and interesting to read. In general, he doesn't use sophisticated vocabulary, nor uses complex sentences.

Thank you again. I hope that everyone particpate with us Anytime. In sha Allah
