After weeks of speculation, spy shots, and leaks, the embargoes have been lifted and Cadillac has finally unveiled the all-new 2007 Escalade. Available in the first quarter of 2006, the truck will offer a powerful 6.2L all-aluminum V-8 engine delivering 403 horsepower. The exterior is refined and sharpened, with a sleeker windshield angle of 57 degrees and better aerodynamics. The rear features LED taillights and the front is flanked by HID headlamps with IntelliBeam automatic beam control. The news Escalade is wider and lower, and sits on either 18- or 22-inch rims, depending on customer preferences. The new interior aims to be more luxurious, offering more space and a revised LED-lit instrument panel. Infotainment options include an 8-inch touch-screen navigation system as well as flip-down DVD and Bose 5.1 Digital Surround Sound. Safety has also been improved, with better roof-mounted curtain air bags, better stability control systems, and a more forgiving front crumple zone that provides the equivalent of 17.7 inches of extra protection
