Once upon a time three men went hunting. Two of them were naked. The other had no clothes on. They had three guns. Two were not loaded. The other had nothing in it. They set out before daylight and went far , far ,far away. Then they went still farther.
Near a forest they shot three rabbits. They missed two of them. The other got away. The man who had no clothes on put it in his bocket.
" My goodness " said the men. " How are we going to cook the rabbit that got away ? "
The three hunters went on there way. They went far , far and still farther.
At last they came to a house that had neither walls nor roof, nor door nor windows. The three hunters struck three great blows on the door : Pam ! Pam ! Pam !
The man who was not there answered : " What do you want ? What do you want ? "
" Would you do us a good turn ? "they asked. "Will you lend us your pot ? We want to cook the rabbit that got away from us ."
"Good heavens , sirs ! " the man replied. "We have only three pots. Two of them are broken. The other has a hole in it."
