Poem: THE HURT INSIDE

You were worth fighting for
You were someone I adored
I gave you everything I could,
but in the end I got fooled

What have I done wrong?
From me you always run
It hurts me deep down inside
All this pain you've caused, I can't hide

You ripped my heart out and walked all over it
You just stood there laughing at my last beat
This is a wound that will never be healed,
unless the memories we shared is killed

I believed that you were perfect,
but I guess we all have our dark secrets
I believed that you were my friend,
but that was only pretend

Is it fun to see me hurt?
Does it entertain you to throw me in the dirt?
'Sorry' is just a plain word,
a word that cannot be heard

Thanks for while it lasted
It was something special, wasn't it?
You, I will have to forgive, you, I will have to forget
I hope it's a decision I won't regret

You tortured my soul
never again will my heart be whole...
