EGM: Are there plans for a sequel to Kingdom Hearts II?
TN: We were very pleased with the sales of KHII in the first week. We have been discussing with Disney about another game, they seemed to be pleased with the idea so far. A Kingdom Hearts III is very possible, and depending on whether we make the yes or no decision, we may start working on Kingdom Hearts III later this year.
EGM: Would it be on Playstation 2 or the upcoming Playstation 3?
TN: We’ve been discussing that a lot. At this moment, if we go ahead on Kingdom Hearts III, and it’s released around the time we speculate, then a PlayStation 3 release is very possible.
EGM: What is that possible release date that you just mentioned?
TN: We assume if we start working on it around December, and work with the computer technology available for the Playstation 3, it would probably take 2-3 years to work on it, so an estimated release date would be late 2008, or early 2009 at this moment.
