Final Fantasy XI Sequel ..

[Burning Sky]

Japan's Nikkei Net news service reports today that Square Enix is currently at work on a sequel to Final Fantasy XI. The next generation massively multiplayer online RPG is being developed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows Vista formats. Further details are not provided.





Square Enix has previously shown trailers for a next generation MMORPG engine, without actually announcing a final product based around the engine. It's unclear if the FFXI sequel is going to be the game to use the new engine, or if Square Enix has another title in development.

وقال ان جرد نقل اللعبة من الاكس بوكس 360 الى البلايستيشن3 مكلف جدا

وانه يفضل يعمل مشروع جديد بفلوس النقل ولذلك اعلن عن لعبة MMORPG

حصرية على البلايستيشن3 ومااجاب طاري الاكس بوكس 360 كل اللي قاله انه مشروعه

بيكون حصرية للجهاز فقط

هذا اللي سمعته انا من لحظة اعلانه عن اللعبة نفى ان تكون تكملة لفف 11

وقال انه قادمة للبلايستيشن 3 وانظمة الفيسيتا

عموما اصلا اللعبة وجودها وعدمها سيان عندي بدل مايعلنون لنا عن جزء جديد عن كرونو

وصلت تحديثات من سكوير تنفي سالفة Final Fantasy XI Sequel لكن تثبت وجود لعبة MMORPG لأجهزة النكست جين والظاهر انها هي الي تكلم عنها تاناكا .. يعني مافيه شيء للـ X360 اهئ :'(



[UPDATE] However, this morning in Tokyo, Square Enix issued a terse statement saying that it had never announced a next-gen sequel to FFXI. "The company did not make such an announcement and has not made any decisions resembling those detailed in the media report," it said.
Square Enix did assert in broken English that "it is currently developing an online [game for] next-generation platforms including game consoles and PCs." However, the company said of the game in question that "this title is being developed [as a] completely new MMORPG." The title in question appears to be the PlayStation 3 and PC Vista game producer Hiromichi Tanaka revealed in an April interview (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6147946.html).
That said, the news wasn't all bad for FFXI fans. Square Enix did announce that it "continuously plans to release expansion packs for Final Fantasy [XI] available on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and Windows, as well as perform version updates."
