::Hello there , everybody::
It has been maybe three monthes since my last thread in the English Forum
I miss it here very much

So.. Let's cut right into the case here
You all know how a television has become a very important part of the family
I ran across a poem in my friend's blog regarding that matter
I though of sharing it with you guys
And I would love to hear some thoughs about it
::A Child's Prayer::

Lord, tonight I am going to ask you a very special thing... transform me in a television set, so that I may occupy its place.
I would like to live as the television in my house lives. In other words I would like to have a special room where I could gather all my family around me.
I would like to be taken seriously when I speak.
Let me be the center of attention, so that everybody be attentively listening to what I say, without interruption or discussion.
I would like very much to receive the attention that the television receives when something does not work.....
And keep company, to my daddy when he comes home tired from work.
And that my mummy, instead of ignoring me, would come looking for me when she is alone and bored.
And that my brothers and sisters would fight in order to be with me .......
And that I may amuse the whole family, even if, sometimes I don’t say anything.
I would like to experiment the sensation of someone who omits everything in order to spend a few moments with me.
Lord, I am not asking much. Only to live as any television set lives ....

Hello there, Amal
Thanks for noticing my absence :D It really means a lot
Obviosly it is nothing about kids watching TV ..
Actually, it is more about how adults watch TV
Thank you for passing
Be safe

A really heart breaking one....
Because it shows how fragile our relationships have become
That kids are going around thinking of a way to attract our attention
But as it always is, They helplessly fail........
Should reconsider our ways of treating our kids.....

Nice to see you again precious one

& like this pharagraph the most

I would like to experiment the sensation of someone who omits everything in order to spend a few moments with me.

I think we should learn something from this topic Hidey... I think what really makes me say this is what my 13 years old niece told me... she said that she really loves hangging out with me beacause I give the kids a chance to express themselves..and that not only she had noticed this but even all her friends... and that her parents and so is her friends parents don't know anything about their kids.. because they don't listen to them... I was really upset to heat this... when we get older we forget how hard was it to be a child or a teen ager
I mean it might sound stupied to some people but think about it like this... when you are a child your brain is not even complet...
maybe we should learn from this child how to take better care of those who are younger and smaller than us...
it is not that hard to let the ones we love know that... but it is hard to show a child how much you love her\him...
just think of yourself as a kid and remember all the bad days you had, not because your parents are bad it is just because you were a child.
