ثلاثة أدوات يجمعها هذا البرنامج , وهي تحرير الصور وعرضها والتحويل بين الأنساق المختلفة .

يجمع فاست ستون إيميج فيور مجموعة من الأدوات التي تساعد على ضبط الصورة والتحكم , ومن ذلك عرض الصورة ومقارنتها جنباً إلى جنب مع صورة أخرى , فضلاً عن التخلص من أثار العين الحمراء وتغيير حجم الصورة وإقتطاع الأجزاء غير الهامة فيها .

يمكن بإستخدام هذه الأداة عرض الصور كمصغرات ضمن النافذة الرئيسية للبرنامج , ومن ثم الإنتقال لعرض الصورة على كامل الشاشة مع عرض كافة التفاصيل عنها , كما يمكن من خلالها العرض التلقائي لمجموعة من الصور .

البرنامج منذ ظهوره لأول مرة في عام 2004 من قبل "FastStone Soft" وبالتحديد في 25 نوفمبر وبالإصدارة رقم "Version 1.4" إلى الإصدارة الحديثة التي صدرت منذ بضعة أيام في (November 07, 2007) إصدارة رقم : Version 3.4 كان ولا يزال برنامج يحتل مراتب عليا في مجاله .

برنامج FastStone Image Viewer يخفي تحت أسمه أكثر مما قد تراه , فعرض الصور هو فقط وظيفة من وظائف يحتويها هذا البرنامج العبقري والبسيط في الوقت نفسه , فمن إدارة وترتيب وتسمية الصور و تنظيم مفضلتك إلى عرض حقيقي للصور بكامل الشاشة بدون أي جزء مخفي بسبب نافذة للبرنامج وإذا أردت بإمكانك تحريك الماوس إلى أقصى اليمين أو اليسار أو الأعلى أو الأسفل لتظهر لك نوافذ تعرض أدوات و مهام مختلفة للإختيار السريع منها .

أنا جربت البرنامج والصراحة أستطيع أن أفهم لما حصل هذا البرنامج على رضا المستخدمين له لدرجة أنهم مستعدين للدفع مقابل الحصول عليه !! , وحصوله على العلامة الكاملة في العديد من المواقع .

دعمه الكبير للصيغ المختلفة (BMP, JPEG, JPEG 2000, animated GIF, PNG, PCX, TIFF, WMF, ICO and TGA) and popular digital camera RAW formats (CRW, CR2, NEF, PEF, RAF, MRW, ORF, SRF and DNG) يمكنك من عرض أي شيء تقريباً .

البرنامج سهل الإستخدام وممتع في نفس الوقت , ويقدم مميزات رائعة جداً من إمكانية عرض أكثر من صورة في نفس الوقت للمقارنة بحد أعلى أربع صور في الوقت نفسه , إلى عرض مجموعة من الصور كشرائح يتم عرضها بتعاقب مع إمكانية تشغيل ملف صوتي في الوقت نفسه , و توفر عدد من المؤثرات والفلاتر للتعديل على الصور وخيارات التعديل الكافية لعمل تعديلات جيدة .

أعتقد أن ما يقصده أخوي Dark Night (http://www.montada2.com/member.php?u=160875) هو أن البرنامج بصغر حجمه له الأفضلية على ACDSee <<< حجمه أكثر من 30 ميغا بايت بقليل .

هذا عدا أنه مجاني بعكس الأخر .

وكما ذكر في مراجعة محررين موقع download.com (http://www.download.com/FastStone-Image-Viewer/3000-2192_4-10324485.html?tag=lst-2-7) فالبرنامج لا ينافس في خصائص التعديل البرامج الضخمة إلا أنه في نفس الوقت يقدم أداء جيد .

والعفو شباب والله ما سويت شيء أبد ... وفيه أشياء كثيرة أريد تقديمها لكن ظروف قاهرة تمنع ... خصوصاً مع البرامج الضخمة ووجوب تجربتي لها قبل عرضها للتأكد من عمل الكراك وما شابه...
وهي مجرد محاولة للتعريف لا أكثر خصوصاً أنه دائماً هناك قادم جديد في عالم الكمبيوتر والبرامج وفيه من يرى شيئاً لأول مرة ...
