Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad expressed on Saturday sorrow for the shooting deaths of two Israelis killed while hiking in the West Bank on Friday. رئيس الوزراء الفلسطينى سلام فياض اعرب يوم السبت عن أسفه لاطلاق النار عن مقتل اثنين من الاسرائيليين الذين قتلوا في حين أن المشي في الضفة الغربية يوم الجمعة.
Fayyad, who met with President Shimon Peres in Herzliya, said that "each loss of life is superfluous." فياض ، والذي اجتمع مع الرئيس شمعون بيريز في هرتزيليا ، وقال ان "كل الخسائر في الارواح لا لزوم له."

The victims of the drive-by shooting attack, named as David Rubin and Ahikam Amihai, both in their 20s, were hiking in the area of the West Bank settlements of Talam and Adura with a female resident of Kiryat Arba when a group of four Palestinian terrorists opened fire on them from a Jeep. ضحايا من جراء اطلاق النيران من سيارة الهجوم ، كما يدعى ديفيد روبين وahikam amihai ، سواء في العشرينات من العمر ، كانت اماكن التنزه في مجال المستوطنات في الضفة الغربية من talam وadura مع الاناث من سكان كريات اربع عندما قامت مجموعة من اربعة الفلسطينية فتح ارهابيون النار عليهم من سيارة جيب.
Rubin and Amihai, who were soldiers on leave from the Israel Defense Forces, managed to return fire and reportedly killed one of the terrorists. روبين وamihai ، الذين كانوا في اجازة من جنود قوات الدفاع الاسرائيلية ، وتمكنت من العودة الى اطلاق النار وقتل احد الارهابيين.

On Friday, Palestinian sources stated that IDF troops raided a hospital in Hebron searching for a gunman believed to have been wounded in the attack. يوم الجمعة ، وذكرت مصادر فلسطينية ان قوات جيش الدفاع الاسرائيلي داهمت مستشفى في الخليل بحثا عن المسلحين الذين يعتقد انهم اصيبوا فى الهجوم. The IDF has not confirmed the report. قامت قوات الدفاع الاسرائيلية لم تؤكد التقرير.

The Almagor Terror Victims Association requested this week that the cabinet cancel its planned discussion on the easing of criteria for the release of prisoners. فان almagor رابطة ضحايا الارهاب وطلبت من هذا الاسبوع ان مجلس الوزراء الغاء خطتها المناقشه على التخفيف من المعايير من اجل الافراج عن السجناء.
