what kinda connection do I need to get lag- free gaming on Xbox Live?

I just upgraded my DSL connection to 1 Mbps but I still got some lag, is there anything else I can do to get rid of lag?, I live in Dammam and I've heard that some DSL companies provide better connections when using Xbox Live, could u plz tell me which ones are the best?

well i have fasttelco 512 and not having problem with lag..playing with americans..thou with ksa people i have lag problems lol, thats wierd...

let me tell u what I know, some games r using servers provided by the same company who made the game, this helps alot when playing online and doesn't give the host any advantage, on the other hand there are some games that doesn't use servers, like Gears of War and Call of Duty, these games depends on how close the guy u r playing with, that's y most ppl play with ppl in their area 2 get rid of lag but the host won't lag at all, only other ppl will lag if the host's connection isn't enough 2 keep up with all players in the game

check if the game is under firewall most of the modems have it only the ones build for gaming don't, to check that when you start the game in the main menu go to system , network settings and test xbox live connection you should get at the NAT open if anything rather than that then your game is under a firewall and you may face problems in xbox live
