TOMB RAIDER NEXT-GEN DETAILS EMERGE
Sources have revealed juicy information relating to Lara's next adventure
17:26 As sure as eggs is eggs, the next version of the adventures of Lara Croft is going to be one of the gaming events of the year, and understandably developer Core Design has done its best to keep a lid on the specifics of Tomb Raider next-gen. Nevertheless, as the project moves further down the line, whispers can be heard from all corners of the industry, and solid sources recently revealed to us some extremely juicy details.
The game is said to be split into three distinct areas. The first section reportedly takes place in Paris, with the game then moving to the catacombs under the city, before ending in a mental asylum, and this is certainly in keeping with the darker, more mature direction Core wishes to take with its gaming icon. Lara's motivation for being in these situations hinges on the fact that she is framed for a murder - something that is thrust upon her early on in the adventure - and her attempts to clear her name uncover a sinister, criminal underworld that looms large over the narrative universe. It is already common knowledge that another playable character, Curtis, is included, but his exact role is still shrouded in mystery.
In terms of specific gameplay, the series is set to undergo one radical change whereby Lara's abilities develop as players progress through the game.
