Hi all, How is life?
Here is the preview just to put you in the picture:
I live in a small apartment in my uncle’s building.
Few days ago, my uncle had to travel abroad and decided to take his family along.
My cousin who is a university student, had to stay to attend a midterm quiz.
So, there are only two people in the building, my cousin and me.
One night, I was up late doing some studying.
I was sitting in the dark - well I always sit in the dark - and do e-studying (so to speak).
Suddenly, I heard a real loud sound, more like a “BANG”! :umm2:
"The Hell was that!? O.O"
I thought it maybe a car crash since many people do drive crazy as they pass the nearby street.
I went to check it out, but there was no car crash or anything likes it, everything looked normal..
“I wonder if the sound came actually from inside the house… :ponder:? Could it be my cousin?
Maybe he dropped something.. I better check on him”.
I rang the house bell and waited for like 5 minutes, I rang again and again but nobody answered.
Then the sound came again! “BANG”!
:umm2:
It defiantly is coming form my uncle’s house!! Now I’m really worried! “I have to go in!”
I had a spare key just in case, so I brought it and opened the door, it was dark I searched for a light switch and turned it on.
I already know that my cousin’s room is at the second floor, so I tried and called his name but he never answered…

Anxiously, I went up, called again and again, still, no answer.
When I made it to the upper living hall I noticed that his room lights were on, the door wasn’t really shut thought!
Logically, he should be able to hear my voice…
I called but this time my voice was too low because I was kinda frightened :D ,
I didn’t expect an answer this time, I stepped forward then I pushed the door quietly, :creep:
the door shocked me with its cracking sound :scared1: that I almost collapsed :09: lolz
I got myself together, entered the room, looked around, my cousin wasn’t there,
however, the bathroom light was on and the door was wide open!
o.O"
I stood near it and called my cousin’s name twice and asked: “Are you there?”
Finally, A respond came back: “huh? @.@ Wesam!! Is that you!? How come you are in my room o.O!! something wrong?”
Ahhh.. what a relief…) I said to myself as I took a real deep breath,
then I answered: “Yes it’s me, are you okay?”
Him: “I’m fine… what is wrong :31:? Something happened, are you okay??”
“ah.. I just heard a real loud sound and I came to check up on you, glad your ok.”
Then the sound came again “BANG” “BANG”!!! It wasn’t coming from my cousin’s room;
it was coming from another place in the house!
I said: “you heard that!”
He replied: “What was that!? Wait I’m coming out”
The sound came again and again “BANG” “BANG”!!! “BANG” “BANG”!!! It was just like gunfire sound :bigeyes:
I went out the room and was trying to follow the sound…
I was moving slowly and I won’t deny that I was really frightened:bigeyes2:.
Then a smell of burning reached my nose :paranoid:
I kept following the smell, and it led me to the stairs! “It is coming from up there I guess!”
I felt a sudden touch on my left shoulder that caused me to jump with fear! eek! :ahhhhh: :eek1:
I turned and it was only my cousin,
he said: “oops sorry, I told you to wait for me!!”
Nervously, I said: “something is burning, the smell is coming form up there, do you smell anything?” :paranoid:
He turned the lights on then pointed up and screamed: “LOOK! SMOKE!! FIRE!! FIRE!!” :yikes:
We went up in a hurry; the smoke was coming from the maid’s room!
We entered and there it was…
“God! The maid’s air conditioner was left on for at least three days!"
Me: “It certainly is broken by now.. thank god it didn’t blow up!”
We used a fire extinguisher, turned the air conditioner off, unplug it and opened the window.
Him: “Stupid maid! How could she left it on!! Wait ‘til mom hears about this… MAN that maid is doomed!”
Me: “She is doomed alright…:ponder:”
So two days later, my uncle and his family came home.
My cousin told the story and laughed hilariously at my sudden reactions XD
(however, 50% was made-up :ds022:).
The house maid was punished but wasn’t killed (unlike what we anticipated :09: )
My uncle noticed something exciting that my cousin didn’t saw coming,
he asked him: “Living next door on a separate apartment, Wesam was able to hear the sound,
in the other hand, you sitting one step far from the maid’s room didn’t heard a thing,
how come? Have you gone deaf? ” :31:
He timidly replied: “ah… I had my headset on and was listening to loud music, couldn’t hear a thing…”
My uncle: “I see, so, Wesam, how did you get in?”
Me: “I used the spare key that you gave me.”
My uncle: “you could have rang the door bell instead…”
I looked at my cousin,
rolled my eyes and said: “I did, many times.”
My uncle said to his son: “you are unreliable!!
The house could’ve been all on fire because of your stupid music!
That is it, you will be the one paying for the new air conditioner.” :jap039:

Here are some tips to end this blog with:
1. Always expect the worst.
2. Parents never forgive carelessness even if you think it’s harmless.
3. Always knock before entering :D
4. Don’t leave your electronic devices on for too long especially during summer time.
5. Lasto, don’t read in the dark, (or too bright light either).
