I 'm gonna write the frequent strange habits <<

~~ I love my PC more than myself .. my only fellow I mean my roommate

You know ,,Satying with Him :D more than 8 hours per day,,

will make our relationship more and more tighter N stronger

So I fell in love with it

~~ Talking to my cats ,, it makes me feel better :D,,

At least they don't try to cheat me or do something wrong ,,

Their stomachs lead them ,, :D

They Love me for What I have ( snack ) not for who I am <<

~~ I read extremely more than usual ,, it's a baleful desire << xD

~~ I feel hostile towards some teachers of my high school <<

they do a lot of trivial stuffs

last summer i went to Malayasia with my family

i carried some of them , they're really lovely

when i have a leave, i would like to visit India

for toursim and bring some monkeys and keep them at home

and take care of them

Greeting

I have this habit of daydreaming "so to speak" where I picture myself in an adventure or something, like if I was a movie start
and I go on and on imagining things, I do this almost every day especially when I watch something inspiring :D
It feels crazy but is fun.

Another habit is: I always balance and organize things,
Stuff around me has to be organized in balanced way, like, I can't stand having more books on this shelf than the other shelf
My closet has to hold my clothes in sorted way, usually sorted by color.
And so on..
In short, I possess a real high sense of balance, its killing me :D

One last habit is: I talk to everything around me, I talk to my books, my computer, my car.. everything
I guess I'm going crazy :D

That is all I have to share, thanx for the topic.

hey what's up guys! it's been a long time :D

it's been..let's see, since the cold war the last time I saw you lol


I was surprised when i read your strange habits..well, not so strange for me XD
anyway.. I also have that daydreaming disease! ( it's a disease I'll tell why later :D)
the only different thing that it's only happen to me when I go to the bed.
I start to imagine and make this storylines and those cinematic scenes.
every night I just invite Hollywood directors with me "hey come on help me produce this movie, will ya!":D
man I even have sequels to some of my imaginations lol
true.. sometimes and don't laugh, I REMAKE some of those fantasies :D

that's for the movies
but sometime I get bored from all of this and pick another career you know :D
like becoming a football player and turn out to be the world next maradonna
bringing the world cup to my country 3 time a raw
and when i retired the fans just went crazy and crying all over the world << that's official, you ARE insane :wow:

or.. sometimes I just control the world :D

I ( and this is why I think it is a disease ) suffering from insomnia because of this :blackeye:
but to tell you the truth recently it's start to decrease. ( thank god )

the balance thingy is also in me but in a different way
for me it's my footsteps driving me crazy
when I walk I must balance them, and when I make one shorter or longer I must make up for the other one too :D

But, come on, is it like just you get this thoughts coming in your mind or you start doing things, jumping, screaming, laying down, feel like you are dying and start crying loudly remembering that you did not write your testament yet ! :31:
and suddenly you wake up and say come on what am I doing !!
oh my god ! am I crazy !

with me, i really go deeply with it, sometimes I dress up dreaming that I am going to a party or wedding, meeting all who I know in there and start talking, laughing, etc ...
and suddenly, I just open my opened eyes! oh my god , no one is here !
what am I doing !

I have a really unusual and actually bad habit
which is cutting or sometimes pulling out my hair
It started with me years ago, It started as a habit, under the stress
and then it became much more advanced, sometimes with doing it continuously, i cut my fingers by my nails,
and even though It hurts I cant stop it ! ..
I know it is not funny but it is really crazy , isn't it ?!

everyone around me able to notice, and every time, I have to hear these
Stop it , it makes me nervous !
Stop it, you will become bald !
Stop it ! bla bla bla
but no one able to believe that I really try to stop it
and it is out of my control

The bad thing, is when I am in exam, and about to start pulling out my hair, and guess what, the scarf is there !

If I start climbing the stairs with my right then I must end with my left

by the way nerves habits is the worse cause they're hard to quit!
I used to have an annoying habit when i get nervous while sitting, I start to flick the ground with my fingers.. both hands XD
it's not just one hit, I repeat it subconsciously until I feel the pain in my nails, then I realized that I was doing it again.
at first I didn't see it as a bad habit, until ..um..I was being told not to do it at several events
then I was convinced and stopped doing it << is it obvious that my mom has scold me till I quit? :D I

it's hard to quit those habits
I know, also it's hard to speak about too :D
but it's not impossible to get over it ^_~

all u need to quit is an angry mom :D with word "tiredness" out of her dictionary :09:
and (or) to acknowledge that it is a bad habit and take the effort to fight it. ^_^
cause believe me.. if u managed to control yourself one time, believe me it will be much easier the next time you resist.
I know this because I managed to quit another bad habit too.

or -of course- you can buy a helmet anytime :D

The weather was lovely... I knew that it was gona rain but I went
to Korniche as usual... I used my hand watch this time to make sure
that I walk exactly 30 min. Unfortunately, I discovered that for the past week I
have been walking for only around 17 min <_< what a shame. Luckily it started raining
after I got into my car to go back home, but it was not a heavy rain ^^.

Today the rain was heavy so I did not go as usual. Instead I decided to be a good girl
and help my mother in the kitchen. I only did simple tasks like cutting vegetables and frying

One of the tricky things i've noticed about Arabic is the gulf between Fusha and 3miyya, whereas in English there's not really that much difference between the daily spoken language and the"formal" language that you hear on the news (or maybe i don't notice it because i'm used to it?). The only real difference that you hear is with Ebonics (really heavy Black slang)

Basically, i come from a Kurdish and Iraqi background but was born in the U.S and have grown up here, so i really didn't know any Arabic for most of my life (except really basic words/phrases/sentences). But i really wanted to learn it to be able to understand the Quran and ahadith (and to be able to read books, etc), so i began taking classes in college about a year and a half ago (and have been doing a lot of self-studying on the side). Alhamdulillah i've noticed a big improvement in my Arabic, but i have a long way to go lol

Something i've noticed is that i don't practice my Arabic much (because nobody really speaks Arabic around here except some family members and people in the mosque) so i decided to register on this forum to practice what i've learned and to learn more and to really immerse myself.

i'm also interested in learning about what's going on in the Arabic countries from a first-hand perspective.

So, the word for "post" (ie a post on a forum) is المشاركة, right?
So if i say "So-and-so posted something (on a forum)", i would say:
شارك فلان شيئاً
Right?

Now if i want to say "Something was posted (on a forum)", would it make sense to say:
شُورِكَ شيءٌ
?

Like for example:
لا أدري إذا شورك هذا أم لا...
i don't know if this was posted or not...
?

:I think it is better to say
لا أدري إذا اشْتُرِكَ فيهِ أم لا

Although it is supposed to be right since the changes that are made on the verb is because it is a:
فعل مبني للمجهول , ولو وزنت "شارَكَ" على وزن "نادى" , we always hear the word
"نودِيَ" , which is correct this way

I'm really not sure, just trying to help you with what I know :o sorry about that

Yea alhamdulillah i've been doing that recently and have noticed a big improvement. Like i made my iGoogle all in Arabic and every day i try to read a few articles in Arabic and listen to Arabic on the tv via the satellite. The trickiest part about learning a language is getting a solid foundation in it. After that, it's all about vocab-building and alhamdulillah i think i'm at that level.

Generally, you would say "at the internet" if the internet was a real place, just like you would say "i'm at the mall/store/beach/etc"

And have you considered taking up a hobby like gardening, fishing, translating, etc?
Myself, i noticed that when i'm on the computer all day, it's really really boring. But when i take a break every few hours to walk around or do something else, it makes using the computer much more enjoyable when i go back on it.
Too much of anything isn't good, even too much of prayer isn't good

Salam brother/sister, this is more correct:

The "g" in God should be capitalized out of respect for Him.

A common mistake i see Arabs making in English is that they literally translate "munthu" as "from" or "since" in their sentances.
For example, for the sentance:
لم أرَه منذ 3 أشهر.
Arabs will commonly say in English:
I haven't seen him since 3 months.
This doesn't make much sense in English. It makes more sense to say "I haven't seen him in 3 months".

Or the sentance:
رأيته قبل 3 أشهر.
Arabs will commonly say:
I saw him before 3 months.
It's more correct to say: I saw him 3 months ago.

Also my dear brother/sister, i don't mean to pick on your post; i just wanted to use it as an example so that others can learn from it insha'Allah.

Long time no see

I don't know how to find my latest post/comment in this forum but I'm sure it have been a too damn long time since the last time you guys saw me here, and speaking of seeing me here, here I am, I'm not back, I just had that Deja Vu moment and remembered all of you in a series of flashbacks, I've been in love with Montada.com and its members, I'm still in touch with few of them, but I left the majority behind as I move on in my life, sorry about that.
I've changed, a lot, and every time I read my old comments I feel loads of shame, but that doesn't mean I was happy with you guys, the best time in my life as a teenager was being here at Montada.com, posting threads about gaming and stuff, playing silly games with you, it was a great time, and I thank you for it.
As I said, I moved on, I spend most of my time on Twitter, I had two jobs since the last time I signed in here, and I graduate from collage in the next couple of months, I changed in a big way, but I'm still your friendly friend who care about you like your own brother.
that was a short letter to you guys and I wish to have more time with you, all of you, I'm giving up all my contact info in the bottom of this comment, because as I said, I'm not coming back because I moved on.
