The Tsukuru ran an article which includes interview excerpts with Kōji Yamamoto (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=97670), the chief producer of Noitamina. The magazine also notes that the manga has been receiving (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-07-11/silver-spoon-is-shogakukan-fastest-with-1-million-1st-printing) initial print runs of over one million.
