i wanna a help ... my modem is( lucent 56k v.90 )and i want to install it on
redhat 9.0 but can't ...
some ppl told me it is winmodem ..(if that helps u )
plz i tried many links to if anyone can help me .. send me a link for the software and how to make it work as i already tried many ..

The news say that your modem can be configured and recognized using the smartlink driver
You can try the smartlink driver from the following URL:
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/pack...-2.7.10.tar.gz
take care not to download the slmdm-2.7.14 version of the smartlink driver !!
since it has so many proplems so only try slmdm-2.7.10 version of the smartlink driver

i tried the package u sent me ..but while i'm installing it i got an error for
gcc command
and i tried to read some node about gcc or cc as i find gcc=cc but i didn't find a solution also my emacs is last version and my redhat is 9.0
so plz help as the make file don't run
it stops
and tell me
gcc - no such command
