CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is based on the hit CBS television show and features the likenesses and voices of the CSI cast. The script was written by Max Allen Collins, author of three CSI novels. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is a first-person adventure where players question witnesses, explore crime scenes, evaluate pieces of evidence, and work with fellow CSI agents Catherine Willows and Gil Grissom. The game was developed under consultation with Senior Crime Scene Analyst Daniel Holstein, a 20-year veteran of the Las Vegas Metro Police Force.

There are more murderous mysteries to solve, once again requiring the hightech knowhow and common sense conjecture of Las Vegas' Crime Scene Investigation team. As did the original CSI PC adventure, this Dark Motives followup places players in the role of the team's newest member, allowing them to interact with all the main characters from CBS' popular crime drama. Favorites such as Gil Grissom, Sara Sidle, and Warrick Brow all join players on the virtual cases, with voices supplied by the actors who portray them on television.
CSI: Dark Motives features five mysteries to be solved. Players will be challenged by cases involving an (allegedly) accidental death on a reality TV show, strange discoveries about the corpse of a homeless person, a possible Native American burial ground discovered in the construction of a new casino, an actress who is shot in the middle of her onstage performance, and an exotic animal that goes missing from a popular show. Following the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Dark Motives, this third game in Ubisoft's mystery adventure series is based on the spinoff television show, set in Miami and starring David Caruso. Players will join Caruso's on screen alterego, Horatio Caine, along with other characters from the TV show, to solve a series of crime mysteries using hightech equipment and oldfashioned police work. Players will have a number of forensic tools at their disposal, as well a witnesses to interview and, of course, crime scenes to investigate. ~ All Game Guide
