British Islamic Leader Urging Women To Drop Hijab

The Guardian - A leading British Islamic scholar has advised Muslim women not to wear the traditional hijab head scarf to protect themselves from attack after the July 7 bombings.

Professor Zaki Badawi, head of the Muslim College in London and chairman of the Council of Mosques and Imams, made his call amid fears that wearing the hijab would make women more vulnerable to attack or abuse.

On Tuesday, the Metropolitan police released figures showing a 600% rise in faith-hate crimes in London directed at Muslims since the bombings.

well here's my idea, i think that the schollar dont deserve to be a religious leading person, cuz he's betraying the beleifs of islam

anyway for all those women in th uk, i have a solution for them: have faith, if it was wrotten for them to get attacked and raped so its GOD's will, if not, its also GOD's will

anyway, my wisdom in my life is"never fear anything cuz what happens is meant to be happened"

it is n't the right solution to take off the hijab just to protect women themselves

the right solution is to behave as strong muslims as the past

treat others as well as our prophet -pbuh- said

BTW, if muslims listened to them , it would be against muslims again

they would say: muslims r afraid of wearing Hijab , they don't obey Allah becuase of people

to die standing is better than to die on knees
