Important Questions

وكل عام وأنتم إلي الله أقرب
أما بعد . . . . . .
إليك الكثير من الإستفسارات التي أرجو من الله أن يوفقك إلي الرد عليها :
أولاً : نسخ linux :
ما هي شروط النسخ وإلي أى مدى يصلح ، وعلي سبيل المثال هل يمكن قانوناً نسخ وبيع (بسعر رمزي يغطي تكاليف النسخ والتوزيع) التوزيعات التالية من Mandrake\ linux بعد شرائها من الشركة المنتجة :
Mandrake 8.1 Download edition 3 CD Set: Fresh & Cheap $5 per CD + $10USD

ثانياً : القائمة البريدية لموقع لينوكس العالم العربي :
لم تصلني رسالة إخبارية واحدة !! فلماذا ؟! .

ثالثاً : ماذا تعني ؟!!!
في إصدارات linux علي الشبكة أجد عبارة Mandrake 8.1/i586 ISO Image قطعاً تشير i586 إلي فئة المعاج التي تعمل علية الإصدارة فماذا تعني ISO Image ، وماذا يعني عدم وجودها .

رابعاًً : يبدو من مظهرى قطعاً أنني مبتدأ في بيئة linux ومعظم معلوماتي مصدرها موقع لينوكس العالم العربي ، ما أفضل كتاب يمكن لشخص مثلي قراءته ، باللغة العربية إن أمكن ، وما أفضل وزيعه للينوكس يمكن العمل عليها بعد Mandrake .

1- well the download edition of Mandrake 8.1 is under under a licanse that allow you to copy and distribute this download edition as you may want.. and you may sell this download eddition of Mandrake 8.1 as you may like ..
But you can't change the licanse .. you have to remain with the same licanse will allow any one who buy your CDs to do exactly as you did ..
So you may copy the Download edition as you may like....

2- about the mailing list of linux3arab .. too bad it didn't realy work, and it was used by some members to spam people ( send them unrelivant emails) .. so I droped it out from my account .. I guess that everyone did so as well .. Poor managment...

3- The ISO Image means thatit is a file that is used to create a CD by a CD writer .. One file that allow you to create CDs, usualy that file size is the same as the CD size, around 650 MB ..

4- I am not sure what books in arabic does cover Linux .. I know there is at least 3 that I heard about/seen .. search in your local technical bookshop, and most probably yo can find at least one ..
Well if you like Mandrake stick with it .. no need to change ... But if you consider your self a technical person, and would like to really explore Linux you could either Make you Linux from scratch ( Yes .. you make your Linux) , or get the proffessional Package of SuSE 7.3 or RedHat 7.2 ... or even more deep into Slackware 8 .. Or even Debian Linux .. it depends on how deep you want to forward ..
