SETTEC is proud to announce the only International Road Safety and Defensive Driving Conference & Exhibition, which will be held at the Cairo International Conferences Centre (CICC) on March 24 – 26, 2008.
Recent policy initiatives at both national and local levels have attempted to place road safety among major priorities. This conference will discuss these initiatives and how community support can help with policy development and implementation. A result of the event will be tangible projects that shall be implemented in cooperation with the private sector and NGO’s demonstrating corporate social responsibility CSR practices.
RSDD Will focus on building a reputation as one of the leading global conferences regarding the discussion of road safety topics and issues that need not only to be addressed but also followed up and implemented to try to ensure safer roads for all users, which always has been a public need.
Traffic safety is an important theme around the world, and in highlighting this theme for 2008, RSDD will look to use the event to discuss, develop and implement ideas, concepts and campaigns necessary to changing attitude towards driving safely on the roads and to remind drivers that it is through their efforts of driving safely that we will see the tragic death toll being decreased.
The primary focus of this year’s Conference will be, “Safer Roads – A public and private shared responsibility”

Our Guiding Principles:

• All users of the transportation system must share responsibility for safety.
• Improvements in road safety can best be achieved through public – private partnership.
• The most effective solutions to road safety related problems integrate the driver, the vehicle, the road and environmental considerations.

Safety Tech. 2008.
The Safety Tech. Exhibition held in parallel to the Road Safety & Defensive Driving – Egypt 2008 conference, will be open to registered delegates only, on March 24, 2008 and the public on March 25 - 26, 2008. Safety Tech. 2008 will display the latest road safety and traffic management technology, and will involve the public in hands-on driver training displays, simulations and interactive road safety training.
Safety Tech. 2008 exhibition is the perfect opportunity to network with the traffic community and share experiences, ideas and innovation.
