We apologise for any inconvenience experienced and appreciate you for
your patience. We have now found a resolution to the GT5 on-line issue
Due to the way certain
[COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]ISPs[/FONT][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] handle data, the online update download for
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue may not be possible for a number of users. The
save game data attached will allow this update to download, and once
this has completed the downloaded update will fix this issue for any
future updates so you need use this save data only once.
Instructions for use:
1. Firstly, if you have a save game file already present for GT5
Prologue on your PS3 HDD, please copy the same onto a
[COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]memory [/FONT][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]stick[/FONT][/COLOR][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] or
USB storage device. *You will need to transfer this data back to your
HDD later.
Note1: if you are using GT5 disk please use only GT5savedataBD.rar file.
Note1: In case you have downloaded GT5 from the PSN store please use
GT5savedataPSN.rar file.
2. Using a PC,
[COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]unzip[/FONT][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] the file, and copy to a memory stick or USB storage
device. When saving this data, it is important to ensure that it is
stored within the folder structure PS3/SAVEDATA/.
To avoid confusion, please do not store this data on the same memory
card or
[COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]USB [/FONT][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]device[/FONT][/COLOR][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] that contains your own GT5P save game data. If
necessary, temporarily transfer your own GT5 Prologue save game data to
a
[COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]PC[/FONT][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] for safekeeping.
3. Please insert the memory stick or USB storage device into the PS3,
select Game, then Saved Data Utility.
4. Next, select memory stick/USB and the downloaded GT5 Prologue data
will appear. Press the Triangle button, and then select 'copy' to copy
the save data to your PS3 HDD.
5. Now, kindly insert the GT5 Prologue disc and load the game. Upon
loading you will be prompted to download the update.
Select 'Accept' to start the download and the white progress bar should
move from the left to the right of the screen.
*If the progress bar not show any movement in 15 minutes, abort this
download and then select the "News" icon on
[COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]My [/FONT][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Page[/FONT][/COLOR][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] and start the
download again. The update should then download correctly. If
unsuccessful, please go back into "News" and try the download again.
6. Once the update has been correctly downloaded and the online features
have been activated, quit out to the PS3 home menu and delete the save
data from your PS3 HDD.
7. Following this, copy back your original GT5P save game data to your
HDD (if necessary). When you then reload the game, all of your credits
and game progress will have been restored, along with th <<GT5
savedata_PSN.rar>> e <<GT5 savedata_ BD.rar>> online functionality."
There are two versions of the save data - one each for the BD (disk)
version and one for the PSN (downloaded) version attached
We would appreciate a line of confirmation when the above procedure
