Overall
If you had enjoyed Juuni Kokki (Twelve Kingdoms),FushigiYugi, Harukanaru Toki de Hachiyou shou or somewhere along that line, you are bound to truly enjoy this anime.
The character development for each different character is surprising and refreshing. It gives an insight to each character which many animes fail to do so.
Although plot wise, it consists of mainly various short stories that have a somewhat connection to each other, each story was amusing and enjoyable.
An anime worth re-watching.
Animation
Although I have never been a big fan of big eyes, this anime animation was given a 9 for its incredibly intricate drawings of things you would have not noticed, such as a hair pin; the back of the hair pin, the design on the sword.
The depth of research into the Chinese culture was amazing close. Such designs for example, the way the palace was built, the structure of the buildings right down to the way the people feed was excellent. It was not perfect but it had reached further than other animes.
However it lacks in differentiating the face structure of each characters. I have lost count on the times I had mistaken certain characters to be other characters.
What it lacks, it tries to make up for it and for that I applaude them a 9.
Sound
The soundtrack of this anime lacks quite a bit. Unless you are a fan of old chinese classical pieces such as the ErHu, I doubt you would enjoy listening to their soundtrack alone.
The voice acting has been good at conveying the character's emotions whether it was amusement, anger or worries.
Story
This anime is made up for many short stories that are in a vague sense connected. Although I cannot find the presence of a main plot apart from the romance between both main characters, each short story is comical. Many plot loopholes were filled which one will consider unusual for most animes.
Some people may consider this anime preachy, but I think its what that makes this anime enjoyable. Not that I enjoy being preached at, but rather I find it amusing on its take of the "proverb".
Character
I think that this anime has excellent in their character development. For many animes, even for those that I would have considered with a strong character development, this anime would stand out the most. It has bothered to develop about each character past, dreams and even admiration or love.
Most animes leave you longing to know more about a particular character, this anime has introduced a past and future for each character right down to the servant maid.
Although the character personality itself may not seem very credible or rather, may seem appearingly overly simplistic, it saves itself with its character development. Creating a social structure of the main characters that does not seem to lopesided.
Value
I had fun re-watching this anime for its many witty quirks that even make me laugh on my 2nd time re-watching it. The story itself makes you want more. It has done a good job on its plot and character development despite its failure on other areas

الصراحة, حبييييييييييييييييييييته موت مثل كازانوكي نو ميكو, و لو لاحظتي الشخصيتين ناو و هيموكو يشبهون البطلتين من كازانوكي^^, واذا اتعرفين مسلسلات تشبه هذين المسلسلين خبريني , و الطلب لكل اللي جافهم^^
