فعلاً يحتاجه كل مستخدم على الإطلاق في رأيي .. وقد جربته وأثناء التنصيب وجد فيروسات لم تتعرف عليها كل البرامج الأخرى التي نصبتها على جهازي ..

BitDefender 8 Professional Plus integrates antivirus, firewall and antispam modules into one comprehensive security package, tailored to meet the needs of home and corporate Internet users worldwide.
- Antivirus
The mission of the AntiVirus module is to ensure detection and removal of all viruses in the wild. BitDefender Antivirus uses robust scan engines, certified by ICSA Labs, Virus Bulletin, Checkmark, Checkvir and TUV.
- Firewall
The firewall module protects your data and your privacy by filtering the incoming and outgoing traffic, controlling cookies, blocking malicious scripts and “XXX-dialer” type programs.
- AntiSpam
Quite simply put, the BitDefender AntiSpam module deals with the problem of spam, so you don’t have to. BitDefender AntiSpam works with all e-mail clients and it integrates directly with Outlook and Outlook Express allowing a smooth interaction with the AntiSpam filter through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.

Improved disinfection

Backup & Restore from Quarantine
Suspicious/infected files can optionally be backed up into a safe quarantine area before being disinfected or deleted. Also, you now have the option to easily move files that proved harmless out of quarantine, back to their original place.
Enhanced Internet Application Control
Alerts the users about any application trying to access the Internet. You will be notified whether the applications demanding network access are trustworthy, so you can make informed decisions.
URL filter and Charset filter
The new URL filter blocks messages that contain illegitimate links from reaching your regular inbox. The charset filter will block any e-mail written with "strange" characters - like a lot of spam is.
Hassle-free
You'll only be notified of the arrival of legitimate messages. Spam will collect silently in your "Junk" folder, to be examined or discarded at your leisure.

Testing BitDefender Antivirus
-----------------------------
You can verify that BitDefender works properly with the help of a special test file, known as EICAR Standard Anti-virus Test file.
(EICAR stands for the European Institute of Computer Anti-virus Research). This is a dummy file, which is also detected by other anti-virus products.
No need to worry, because this file is not a real virus. All that EICAR.COM does when executed is to display the text
'EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE' and exit.
The reason we do not include the file within the package is that we want to avoid generating any false alarms for those who use BitDefender or any other scanner.
However, the file can be created using any text editor, provided the file is saved in standard MS-DOS ASCII format and is 68 bytes long.
It might also be 70 bytes if the editor puts a CR/LF at the end. The file must contain the following single line:
X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
Save the file to any name with COM extension, for example EICAR.COM. >From now on, you can use this file to see what happens when BitDefender detects a real virus.
Testing BitDefender AntiSpam
----------------------------
Verify if BitDefender is working with the GTUBE test. The test consists in entering the:
"XJS*C4JDBQADN1.NSBN3*2IDNEN*GTUBE-STANDARD-ANTI-UBE-TEST-EMAIL*C.34X" line in the body of an e-mail.
BitDefender must tag as spam any message that contains this string.
The string must be reproduced on a single line.
Notes

- BitDefender Professional doesn't scan Lotus Notes POP3 traffic.
Known compatibility issues when using

- ScanDisk
- Disk Defragmenter - and any similar utility applications
- Nero Imagedrive - and other similar applications (only on Windows 9x)
Disable the Virus Shield while using the programs listed above to avoid data loss and/or system instability.

يعطيك العافية اخوي ..
فعلاً برنامج حماية من الطراز الأول .. سهل الإستخدام والتعامل ..ماشفت معه مشكلة أول ماركبته ( الكاسبرسكاي مسبب لي مشكلة مع التصفح والانتي فاير كل شوي يقول اعد تشغيل الجهاز :09: ) ..
وغير كذا وجد عندي كم ملف مصاب ماكشفتهم كل البرامج السابقة ..
