Nintendo Unveils DS Redesign
Smaller, more compact, and hitting Japan March 2nd.
Nintendo today announced a newly-redesigned version of their DS handheld in Japan, confirming rumors that have been floating around the internet for the past few weeks. The "Nintendo DS Lite" features a smaller case design than the original DS and a higher-quality screen with four brightness settings. According to Nintendo, the name "Lite" is a play on words meant to emphasize both the system's lightweight design (it's about two ounces lighter than the previous DS) as well as its lighter, brighter screen.
We contacted Nintendo for further information and were able to confirm a few extra bits of info beyond what was issued in the release. For starters, the
new DS Lite will continue to play Game Boy Advance games as well; some users have already expressed concern that the GBA slot might have been removed from the new design in order to save money, but we can confirm that this is not the case.
In addition, Nintendo is planning to launch the system in three different colors in Japan, though the actual colors have yet to be determined. The only image released thus far shows a white DS Lite, but Nintendo hasn't yet decided if that will be one of the final choices come launch day. Furthermore, while the physical size of the new DS is smaller (133.0 x 73.9 x 31.5mm -- the old DS was 148.7 x 84.7 x 28.9mm), the actual screen itself will remain identical in size to that of the original. And finally, those of you with giant man-hands can rest easy, as the original DS will continue to be sold alongside the new Lite version (at least in Japan).
The DS Lite will be released in Japan on March 2, 2006, and will retail for 16,800 yen (approximately $145 at the current exchange rate).

الشكل الجديد انحف بكثير و المايك صار في الوسط و في الأعلى يعني الأن ما في داعي انك تنزل راسك كل ما تريد تنفخ او تنادي على كلبك مثلآ ,, و الأزرار صارت افضل بكثير و اوضح و ملمسهم افضل بكثير , و كمان الD-BAD صارت افضل بكثير من السابق ..
شخصيآ افكر ابيع جهازي و اشتري الجديد ,, الجديد راح ينزل في اليابان في 2 / مارس و راح تنزل معاه لعبة تشيلدرن اوف مانا ..

ما تتخيلون الشكل كيف عجبني .....
اول مره يعجبني شكل معدل لأجهزة نينتيندو لهالدرجه ^0^...
الظاهر ان الجهاز خفيف و صغير ولو تلاحظون شاشة اللمس بارزه للأعلى ومكان المايك جيد لكن يعيبه عدم وجود الانالوج..^^"

January 26, 2006 - After weeks of rumor and speculation, Nintendo today finally revealed its expected redesign of the Nintendo DS handheld system. Called the DS Lite, this new design will be released in Japan on March 2, 2006 and cost 16,800 yen (about 140 bucks US.) The redesign retains all the functionality of the standard DS, but makes things smaller, lighter and brighter.
The modified dual screen handheld has been tweaked into a smaller chassis. The new unit measures up to 133 mm wide by 73.9 mm tall by 21.5 thick. (that's compared to 148.7 x 84.7 x 28.99 mm in the original.) DS Lite weighs 218g, compared to the 275 g of the original.
DS Lite's biggest new technical feature is its updated set of backlit LCD screens. The system is brighter overall, and will give the user the ability to select from four different levels of brightness for viewing and/or battery consumption. A few other cosmetic changes were made to the new DS Lite -- there's a new hinge design, the power light was put on the left side of the hinge and is visible while the clamshell is closed, the mic is moved to top/center while the speakers are more centered, the Select and Start buttons are set on the bottom instead of top, and the power button is no longer on the front, and all of the dark button colors are changed to whites and grays. The cute DS logo is also placed on the front. Basic functionality, otherwise, looks to be identical to the original DS.
الجهاز صار اخف بكثير , و اصغر كمان , و الشاشة السفلى صار فيها تغيرات و اربع مستويات للأرتفاع هممممم الأمر مش واضح بشكل كلي للأن ,, زر التشغيل ما صار في الواجهة , شكله صار في الجنب (مثل الGBA sp) ,, ننتظر معلومات تفصيلية اكثر على الجهاز ,, الشكل كثير عاجبني ان شاء الله اقدر ابيع الي عندي و اشتري هذا :) ..

بس شباب الجهاز فاضي شكله مافيه شي بس تغير الشكل :33: لاكن مهما صار ماراح اشتريه حرام الدي اس مالي ماكمل سنه اذا جهاز في تغيرات كبيره ورائعه بشتريه لاكن مافيه اي تغير جديد مستحيل اخذه بس الحين انا عن نفسي اشوف الشكل القديم اجمل الشكل الجديد هو الجيم واشت نفس الشي بس الون تغير مب مقتنع في ها الشكل على العموم ننتظر ونشوف

اوكي الجهاز خف وزنه وصار احسن وكل شي صار احسن عدى شي واحد السبيكرات قليل يعني بيكون الصوت اقل من الجيم بوي الين الحين مب مقتنع بالشكل

مهما صار الصور ليست حقيقيه لان David Yarnton قال بان نينتيندو لن تعرض الشكل الجديد في e3 2006 انا اصدق نينتيندو بس

تخيل عند النفخ سوف يظهر أثر النفخة على الشاشة العلوية و السفلية :o
يعني الحين بدال ما تنزل راسك راح تشتغل بمسح الشاشة من أثر النفخة :D
أعتقد اني راح أحتفظ بجهازي كما هو :33:
الا لو قدرت أبيع جهازي بسعر زين و آخذ هذا بسعر أزين :p
