Always getting this error message?
Well, here is a way to make that message go away completely!!
Part 1:
Step 1:
Press Windows Key + R or Start > Run
Step 2:
Type "c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" in the run box, press enter
Step 3:
Select "Notepad" to open it with
Step 4:
Paste "121.52.204.250 hackshield.maplesea.com" at the bottom of it, close & save.
Part 2:
Step 1:
Go to
MEGAUPLOAD - HShield.zip
Step 2:
Wait your time, then download it
Step 3:
Navigate to "C:\Nexon\MapleStory" (or your ms directory)
Step 4:
Delete Hshield folder
Step 5:
Extract the Hshield.rar with 7zip, or winrar, whatever
Step 6:
Put the hshield folder into the MS folder ( make sure its hshield\{hshield files}, not hshield\hshield\{hshield files} )
Step 7:
Restart your computer.
Now, run maplestory, preferably through the GameLauncher ("C:\Nexon\MapleStory\GameLauncher.exe") It should pop up with the patch screen(Maybe only if you re-installed recently like me), let it patch, then press "play". Hackshield should run like normal and you should be back to playing the game!
Respond and say if it worked/didn't work for you!
Note:
If hackshield just closes without the error coming up (or even with an error) just retry it a couple of times.
