ORB-01 Akatsuki - Extended Profile
:Introduction
The following is the detailed profile of the ORB-01. Created by ORB during the invasion of ZAFT with rouge Earth Alliance forces, this suit was granted to Cagalli by Kisaka, as well as Erica of Morgenroete. This suit was designed as a special project and her father wants her to have it. When she first laid eyes on the Akatsuki, the light from its golden parts blinded her a bit, and upon recieving it, she burst into tears. Armed with many standard issue weapons, it boasts a new defense system unique to the Akatsuki alone as well as a "HiMAT" mode similar to the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam.
Beam Rifle x 1
A standard issue rifle with rapid fire enabled for destroying multiple enemies. As with all beam rifles, it is vulnerable to the GOUFs Heat Rod that uses a charge of electricity to Destroy the rifle.
Beam Saber x 2
Like many other MS, the Akatsuki's melee weapon is the beam saber, which is formed by using the same magnetic field generation technology that contains the Mirage Colloid of the Blitz Gundam. It can slice through practically anything except for shields.
Plasma Beam Cannon x 2
The Plasma Beam Cannon is often used along with the beam rifle like its own "HiMAT mode" that is similar to the Freedom Gundam, except much smaller, but nonetheless deadly to its enemies
Shield x 1
The Akatsuki is equipped with a beam shield like various other MS. It serves primarily to block beams and projectiles. However, the Akatsuki's armor is made also to block attacks, so the shield is for backup.
Reflective Armor
A unique feature of the Akatsuki is its gold reflector armor in which it uses to redirect beams and high energy cannons back at the enemy. When using this features, the armor seems to "glow" before it reflects. When blocking, it uses electromagnetic energy that encompasses the armor and creates an effect similar to the ZGMF-X1A Freedom when it fires its railguns

:Conclusion
The Akatsuki is the first Gundam developed entirely by ORB, unlike the four GAT series that were developed with the Earth Alliance. The Akatsuki is the newest MS equipped with the latest of ORB technology including an OS made by ORB alone. While many may find this Gundam nice to look at, enemies will shake in fear as they are destroyed and their attacks reflected back at them.
