Even there when I did not

Just to hold my hand

And make me feel that I belonged

You’re such a special person

Of this I am assured

You brought out the truth in me

And all my fears you cured

To thank you is not good enough

For all that you have done

I hope that you take pride in seeing

All that I have become

For without you and your friendship

I don’t know where I’d be

You broke the chains, your heart so pure

And myself you did set free

Never change the way you are

You’re a light within the doom

I’ll think of you, when I am scared

To save me from my gloom

I only hope that I have cared

For you as you did for me

And then that this friendship made

Will always continue to be

i just called it ruth not because ruth is a girl's name
but.... ruth means also
