Hello my dear friends......

It seems that nobody is actually interested in the topic.... Anyhow I will go on writing till I complete my topic , even if I don't receive any comments ..... And now , the question is , Do you believe in superstitions ? Many people might have the answer ( YES ) .... but they are a bit shy to admit it ... This is ,of course , normal...Now let's take a look at another example of superstitions ......


Superstitions about black cats are more complicated. Some people believe that they are good luck , and others believe they are bad luck . Black cats were usually a witch's bet - and witches were definitely bad luck !!! However, fishermen's wives sometimes used to keep a black cat at home to prevent an accident at sea , and so black cats were believed to be valuable and were often stolen ......

Anyhow, I don't think that I believe in superstitions, though I get a feeling of discomfort when a black cat passes by me lol

Some superstitions are considered bad luck or good luck after stories

like

'lighting three cigarettes with one match'

It started when three soldiers of the Civil War "I think, or World War1, I forgot", anyway, they lit their cigarettes with the same match, then the enemy knew where they were hiding and caught them, so after that it became bad luck to do that, even though lighting a match for that long was the main reason lol

In fact , I got such a shoch - as the first part of this topic was visited by 15 people and , unfortunately , none of these people said one word !!!! :vereymad: Anyhow , thank you again , you are giving me hope...
The topic is truely very interesting and there are many examples of superstitions that sometimes make me laugh ...
However , you needn't be frightened at all of black cats ....simply because they are never capable of harming NAUGHTY ANGELS ...........

Well guess what, I was one of those who read the thread without replying lol, though I was planning to, then I saw this one

I totally agree, it is the most chapter I love and enjoy its classes in my culture courses
