i'll get right to the point, i wanna get back into playing this master piece, the game file size is 217MB, downloadble in a few hours, once unzipped it becomes 1.23 GB

The game's feeling is faaaaaaaaar better than Samurai Zero, there's a groove for everyone here, a variety of stratgies and play styles can be implented(i found myself loving the Kiri Charlotte and Ten Iroha very much) bakgrounds are amazing, only drawback i can think of right now is the music, original and arrange it's very bad except Iroha's stage and andrew's stage

forgot to mention the loading, it's 12 seconds, as bad as nejibako, but minus the annoying music but this game has a Retry option for Vs mode in case u didnt want to change characters and go to the character select screen

Loveing the game
it's great...it have everything from the SS series

Iroha simply ROCKS
Cham Cham's new super is nice
not as cool as the old one but it makes sence,
since Tam Tam is in the game too.

Recca, i tried the progressive scan -_-
the bgs looks AWESOME with it...but the characters spirites
looks pixeld to hell...even more than before..i'll try with another tv.


btw recca did ya unlock the extra modes and spirites and characters?

that there is a one hit KO for all the characters??..that's from what i remember

didn't have time yet, my last final is today after 11 hours and i still have a project im putting the final touches on as we speak lol

btw, about the super gaining rate, i noticed it in Ten mode, when i do the combo that gives u RAGE A+B,A,A,B,B,C,C,C seiger gains about 30% only of his gauge, basara gains 80% while enja gains 100% from one combo!!! but Seiger's super lasts for a while, while Enja's depletes verrrrry fast, this list explains alot of things, thanks Redude =p

what are your favorite modes? mine are Samurai 1 (Do) , and samurai 4(Ten) samurai 3's groove looks nice too

1- Can you explain the differences between all the grooves?
2- I once read in a movelist how the inputs for the supers and....some of them looked frickin' tough to pull off
3- How's Genjyuro in this one?

My favorite mode is Samurai 4 (Ten) and the default one for Tenka
though i use Ten more

some Iroha combo's i figured out

F+K, K, dp+Strong slash
or
F+K,K, qcb+Weak slash, down+strong slash

B+K, qcf +strong slash

this is her highest damage one i did
must be in corner:

df+Strong slash, qcb+Weak slash, dp+ Strong slash

had a video planned till i finsih from my finals ~_^ i just finished today, so i'll get to work after Dinnerfast(i just woke up and it's 1:30 lol XD)

Genjuro's still a pain in the behind :/only thing i dont like about him is his new voice actor, but he's growing over me

sure the moves have complex commands, but the game is slow, meaning u have time to plan yournext attack and enough time to input

i know it's nothing, but i had a nice project going on here =_= anywa i'll just explain the systems here, here we go

1 - 怒　

spelled "Do", means Rage, cos truly this groove is all about rage, as you know the damage u deal in samurai shodown tenka depends on the sword gauge, the more full it is the stronger the attack will be, swinging attacks will deplete the meter, anyway~ in Do spirit, you have only one special thing, the A+B attack, which is an auto guard move, it does decent damage, but that isnt enough is it? ok fill up ur rage meter by being hit, you will notice when ur rage is full that ur Sword Meter becomes the same size as ur health bar!!!doing the A+B move depends on how much sword meter u have left, so doing it witha aguage that full, could mean up to 50% damage, don forget the auto guard property, but be careful i "think" that the auto guard property will auto guard one hit for u or on the time of the hit u can be hit, not sure yet though i need to expirment more with it, Buttbleed hates this groove so i love to stick my Do Galford in his nose =D

2 - 真　

Shin Getter Robo is one of my favorite animes of all time =p this Kanji spelled out Shin means "true" , it's a nice spirit, has a hidden super for each character that can be done once each fight, also it has the famous move from samurai 2 where u can turn characters into chibi dolls, the super builds up from being attacked in this spirit, a plus point about this spirit is that if ur super connects, your oppoent's sword won't just be knocked down like other modes, it will be broken, and then thrown in after a while by the judge, i think that the E button gives u dodge capablties if combined with directions, too lazy to boot up PS2 \just to check that

EX Fiend's Andrew is fearsome in this groove >_>

3 - 斬

ahhh zan, the samurai 3 spirit, not sure what zan means actually but i remmeber zankuro when i hear this spirit's name, this spirit is the only spirit in the game that can block in the air by using E, it's not a full block, u must time it like a parry, also using this groove u get the classic KOF styled A+B dodge, accesible thru the E button, if u do it near an opponet, u'll go behind him similar to KOF96's A+B roll, also for fans of KOF95, in this spirit u get ur super by holding A+B and building the rage

no one i know currently uses this groove, although i think it's pretty intresting for Iroha, her super build speed is like Basara, and basara builds up quite fast, also the air guard might help her cos i find myself jumping alot to get full advantage of her double jump and air projectiles

4 - 天

Ten is japanese for heaven, all you SF maniacs already know this =p this groove has an intresting combo system, the A+B blow opens the door to these combos if it connects :

A , A , A : Normal Combo

A , A , B , B , C , C , C : depending on your characters Rage buildup speed, this will give u Rage upon ntering it successfully

B , B , C : Juggling combo, the last hit cancellable and launches into the air

C , C , D : another damage combo, some character's have awesome frames for this one try seiger's =D

with the E button u get all the stuff that Zan spirit has except the air guard, this groove also builds rage upon getting damaged, there's another notiable thing about this groove, it is the issen, the Issen is similar to the Guilty Gear destroy in a way, but it doesnt kill the oppoent, u enter the Issen mode by hitting A+B+C u will be invincble and be able to stop almost anything with the thunder u just did from hitting A+B+C, the fun part is that ur Rage bar is going down while it burns, if it runs out u will lose it for the whole match, but during the time it's going down u will be able to perform an ultra fast attack by doing A+B+C that does decent damage, i liek to finish up matches with it ^^

5 - 零　

samurai Spirits zero's system, Rei means Nothing, i believe that most of you reading this played samurai zero and familiar with it's system, if not i'll explain it in another post

6 - 剣

Ken means sword in japanese and also the same kanji used in Kenshin's(sword heart) name =p, an intresting system although it feels like they took the idea for it from Guilty Gear's Faultless Defense and SFIII's parry systems, hitting AB in this system will make ur character do something like a faultless defense that pushes the opponet back if he hits it, hitting the E at the same moment the opponet attacks will result in parrying it(E alone will make ur character move back, Forward E makes a little hop, Down + E makes them lay flat on the ground) about the AB guard, it consumes some Rage meter if used, the rage in this spirit builds up by attacking the opponet, and it doesnt go down when it becomes full like other spirits, but u lose it once the next round starts, also u get and extra super only useable when ur life reaches the green area, but this super doesnt knock the opponets weapon down like normal supers

i hope this helps, i didnt explain things that are in the game's basics like sword clashes and ground hits and throw reversals, but there's one thing worth mnentiong, the throw system in this game, if u throw an opponet that just whiffed, he cant reverse the throw, make use of throws to change the tide of the game

will dodge back...even if you click forward E
