With the development of technology the computer has entered the homes of many people. Soon those people allowed a guest to enter their computers and affected their lives a lot. It is the Internet.
Although the Internet has provided a lot of help and amusement to those people, it has became a source of upset and danger when it took over their lives, leading them towards addiction.
This addiction starts when those people are on the net. Many of them find it nearly impossible to stop, spending many and many hours in front of the screen.
The Internet has become a power that destroys the lives of millions of people all over the world, as experts say.
The Internet has isolated many people from their work, friends and family. They prefer to go into the world of chat rooms and games instead of sitting in the real room with their children.
According to a recent survey done of Internet addicts spent 40 hours a week online, compared to the six hours of non addicts. The Internet addicts spent most of their time in electronic mail (35%) and playing multi-user dungeon games (25%), while Internet users who were not addicted spent most of their time using the chat rooms (30%) and surfing the world wide web (28%).
The dangers of the Internet will grow as the number of Internet users grows daily. In fact, these dangers whether they refer to school, friend or work, extend to contain the young and the old, and they become at risk of Internet addiction.
Finally, I'd like to advise the users of the Internet and especially my friends at school, to be careful when using it. They should take over the Internet and not the opposite. Take advantage of its bright side and enjoy your time.
